  1. Daily driver. Just watching the miles rack up as I swat flies on various motorways. :(
  2. Mate, if i'da known I would have! Damn things slipped me by. VERY good pluck all the same mate, green is not the word
  3. Do like that last pic. Trim out the truck ass end and it's spot on. Wallpaper-o-rama...

  5. 3 today... M Plate VR6 on the M25 heading towards Gatwick, Grey G60 heading towards the A3 on the other side of the M25 and a black/dark blue G60 on the A331 - takers?

    Happy 200k!

Congrats on 200K :salute: I've seen that pic before, too cool. :D
  7. They don't look too bad at all. I wonder if Mr Miltek on here (16VG60) would be able to fabricate something along those lines...? Rufio - bloody good band that too. :D
  8. I'm gonna have to jump in the off pool too, never really got on with those. Do love black rados though, look very nice indeed. :D
  9. Can give you another thumbs up on the toad. Had a little bit of gripe with it before, but worked out what that was. I goofed. The tape I put on the wires from the old door mechanisms had come off, and they had shorted on the door metal. Hence, my central locking was glitchy at best... Grr. Well that aside, the alarm is awesome. Would be nice if I could find out how to wire the 3rd button up to something. The 4th is headlights, but there's something about a radio controlled spoiler that makes me giggle.
  10. I seeeee, well probably for the best that happened really. :D Well, in an ideal world it wouldn't have happened at all - but we all know cars arn't like that  Cheers for clearing that up.
  11. More to the point, where did the bit of metal go!?

    Metallic Grey

Plus Halfrauds will make you up a can of paint to whatever colour code you want. I got a can of LD7U (or LD7Y - can't remember off the top of my head) made up for about 6 quid. Enough to do door handles, number plate surround etc.. and still got loads left. Match wasn't spot on, but close enough. hth randal
  13. Just had to go over my whole exhaust system (again, 2nd time). Had to adjust all the clamps on the system from the downpipe back. Was a trade off between proper hanging mounts, or blowing. I went for the sound system, and the ******* clamp option. Took 45 minutes, two screw drivers and much swearing to get the Miltek to play ball. It did, eventually. BUT, the tip wasn't centred - easily remidied with garden wire. Gotta love those ghetto fixes. :D
  14. Cheers all :D In an ideal world I would like to think that 2K is obtainable, given that I've spent around 1K myself since owning the car! Shall have to see once I've had the little bits and pieces sorted. I am looking forward to VR shopping! M777CUSGTI - There's 5 of, given the condition of the wheels (one losing a little laquer, the others have slight kerbing etc..) and tyres (which would be near enough brand new) errm I'd guess around 175-200.
  15. Hello, I've been teasing myself all day looking at cars, and I've come to the conclusion I want to get a VR6. There's no two ways about it, my mind is well and truly made up. However, that's not the reason for this post. At the moment, I've got me valver - which I'm going ot have to sell to front the cash for the VR6. As it stands, I need to get two new tyres, tax and ideally brake pads/disks for the front before I sell it. I wouldn't be happy parting with it otherwise. I'd also get it MOT'd before selling, again just for peace of mind and value addedness (according to the randal concise dictionary). I really wanted to get the body work sorted before selling but it doesn't make sense doing that if I'm just going to flog it. Ideally it needs a new OSF wing, and touch ups here and there. I had a word with a friend who gave me an unbiased, "un-mate's rates" figure of about 350 quid. Also, I've bought a Weitec susp kit comprising of shocks/springs/VR6 top mounts, new bump stops - the whole works. Enough to drop it 40mm, improve the ride quality and the handling. Interior wise, the car is spotless. Since I've had the car I've sourced new parts for the interior (thank you Henny :D ) Fitted a new OE exhaust front pipe, Miltek "cat back" exhaust, a Toad Ai606, later spec grille, acoustic shelf and front components. Now, I'd keep the vast majority of that in the car when I come to sell it and include the suspension kit with the car. (won't be fitting them for the same reason as the bodywork). In addition I've just had 600 notes work of work doing in fitting that front pipe. Long story cut short with snapped studs and other complications - It's had the head off, new cambelt, tensioner, studs, fluids etc... and the other ancillaries to go with the head removal - including new studs being tapped into the head/manifold all round. It's got 107,000 miles on the clock - 11,000 of those i've done meself since Feb just driving to/from work. More details/pictures of the car are --> http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic.php?t=11198 My questions are - How much should I be asking for the car? I'm thinking around the 1800-2000 mark. Is there anything else I should consider before selling? I'll worry about the VR6 related questions when I start shopping. (The sooner the better!) Thanks in advance randal
  16. As Slot said upgrades for the valver are - Filter Exhaust flowed/ported head cams Can't really see any gains from a chip, as the valvers are mechanical ( Engine rebuilds normally entail new valves, guides, stems, oil seals in the head. This gives you the perfect opportunity to drop those new fast road cams in... Not 100% sure on the bottom end, but I'd presume new pistons, piston rings end bearings etc.. etc.. In addition, you might want to drop John (16VG60 on here) a private message. He runs JMR racing, and from a personal view and experience from others on here - he's highly recommended. HTH randal
  17. From reading posts on here, Stealth can apparently get 150bhp out of a 16V lump without any additonal bolt on mods. I think they alter the fuel pressure, and tweak timing etc.. etc.. I'm sure if you call Vince at Stealth Racing he'll be more than happy to explain how they do it. IIRC it's not overly pricey either. :D
  18. Henny - we await your findings with anticipation :D
  19. Henny, how do you adjust these cables? I've got a little bit of grief getting mine select the gear smoothly - it will go, but you just have to jigger it a bit. I've changed out all the mounts on mine, done the g/b oil and I'm pretty sure the gear level/bushes are in decent nick. :? Ta randal
  20. Aaaaaand here's Henny's how to --> http://the-corrado.net/how-to/index.php?mn=cat_details&id=8&PHPSESSID=55cd5b08126480e98c92b6e0198c4e73 :D
  21. Personally, I'd make that a one way ticket. Balls to the shipping, I'd be running that engine in further. How many miles from coast to coast? :D
  22. Two this morning - Bordeaux Pearl VR getting off the M25 at Reigate and a Aqua Blue K Plate VR going past South Terminal of Gatwick Airport - any takers? Ta randal
  23. Same reason why I was reluctant to give my friends the details of the forum. Despite the sticker on my boot glass being the biggest give away - but anyway... OK, I don't mind having a giggle on forums and stuff - but this is one I take more seriously. i.e it's the first forum i've been a member of that makes me think "I'm actually proud/happy/interested to be a part of". Excuse me I have something in my eye.... *snif*
  24. Blimey, that didn't take much convincing! BUY BUY BUY! GO MAN GO!
  25. I'm with you on that one. The mechanics on the car sounds f-ing amazing, but the styling is certainly up for discussion. Matter of taste though, *ahem* krooz-midz *ahem* (asbestos suit on...) If the guy takes $16K, game on. Sell the body kit, make some money back and you're laughing  Well, that's what I'd do
