  1. thnx kev. when u say the whole lot, u dont mean the whole boot lid do u? coz that wud suck. Looking at ETKA i assume u mean VAG part no's: 535 827 761 (Fastener)[/*:m:e8726] 905 814 01 (plug)[/*:m:e8726] 535 827 765 (threaded plate)[/*:m:e8726] The thing with that is that all those parts I have and they look 100% aok.
  2. The screwy on bit has come off out the hole, and im wondering how to reattach it. Ive tried araldite, but its not strong enuf! Any sugestions?
  3. charger rebuilds are around £350 - £400. http://www.pitstopdevolpments.com or http://www.g-werks.co.uk are the best bet. As for milage I wouldnt worry bout it. Mines up to 160k and its running better than ever. Also check this out: http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5124
  4. Drove behind a grey/silver VR(?) @ about 6:30ish last nite (10th), on M1 from about Northampton to when I came off @ J12. L***BKJ. Dont think u saw me, as we were both going kinda quick. Obviously no quicker then 70mph Occifer tho..... ;)
  5. ok, I appretiate your opinion on this, but i already have an oil temp guage and am trying to install that at the mo, so maybe we can talk about wether or not its worth it when thats done ;)
  6. Already have a boost guage, and have a pressure as well. Reson for seperate oil temp is so that I can have the MFA reading on summit else without having to change it to oil the time to check on oil temp. EG. dont wanna start revvin above 3k or so wiv me 65mm pully, b4 me oil has reached a decent temp......I like my charger how it is....

  8. Im trying to install an oil temp guage into me G60. It comes with a sender and goes from 50 - 150 degrees. To save on hassle, can it be run from the sender thats already in the engine, by simply taking it out from the MFA and plugging it into the guage? (This is assuming that the one in the engine goes to the MFA without going anywhere else!). If so, which wire will it be? I dont have a wiring diagram unfortunatly yet. I had a quick look 2nite when installing my Boost guage, but the wire that came from the sender was green/black, and there was no green/black into the MFA.
  9. very grippy in dry, but wear far too quickly. I will not be using them again, ive been converted to the far superior Toyo Proxe's 8)
  10. oh hell yeah!! Im going to need to take shares out in Shell and Toyo tho!! Im eating my way thru petrol and tyres  hehehe Never before have I been able to spin the wheels in 3rd @ 60mph
  11. as ive said in the original, put me down as a maybe for the smoked jobbies.
  12. well, if i can raise the dosh-a-roo i will be after a set of the clear smoked jobbies. Put me down as a definatly maybe.
  13. many thnx again. just finished. needed to hit it wiv hammer, coz it was a bit tight!! now, im off out to have a bit of fun
  14. ok ive borrowed one (golf), but its a little unclear as to which bolts to undo. Any pointers? (Man, Im being such a pleb 2day..... )
  15. thnx guys, managed to do it now. Right, next. I gotta get the power steering pump losened off now. Ive had a quick look, but im not 100% sure which bolts to undo. Im gonna see if I can get hold of a Haynes for Golf or summit, to make sure im undoing the right ones!! LOL!
  16. cant get the soddin bolt off the pully now :s got a good grip on the pully, but cant undo the bolt, too tight......perhaps i need more leverage.
  17. Thanks guys. Managed to do it no problem in the end. The clip that holds the air intake on was slightly bent, so it just took a bit of force. Im actually surprised at how much difference just a chip makes!! The engine is much smoother, and pulls progressivly right thru the revs! Doing the pully tomorrow......65mm, cant wait
  18. Not nessasarily. Mines a '91 G60, and has a late style bonnet, but early interior and bumpers. Also it only cost me £2000 and hasnt needed stupid money thrown at it, just charger rebuild and usual serviceable parts (tyres, rear suspension brake pads) (oh and mine had done 155k when i got it, but charger and engine were spot on, no probs at all)
  19. HI all, Im having problems changing the ECU Chip on my G60. Ive had a quick read of 2 how to's, but cant really work out what they mean. The one on sns's site hasnt got the piccies, which is a shame coz with em i could prolly do it. What I cant do is this. They say to remove the black plastic filter thing on passenger side of car, but i cant work out how to get it off. I also cant unplug the wires to the ECU, but i assume that that is easier once the black plastic filter thing is removed. Can anyone help out here? Or even better post up some how to piccies? cheers
  20. sorry to sound confused (i have been drinking again..... ) but...... Is this supposed to be for "Corrado Forum Car of the Year - Original +"? Does that mean Corrado's that are still original? Coz none of them are? Or is it that they all have orginal styling? Coz a lot have the same agian, so Im still lost........ As i say it may be to do with the drink.......
  21. Hi guys, just noticed recently, that when I switch off my G60, after a longish run (well long enough to get the engine hot), the fan cuts in after a few seconds, and a few seconds after that, what sounds like the fuel pump cuts in as well. They then stay on for around 10 mins. Is that normal? Another thing that happens sometimes in conjunction with the above, is that when the fan and fuel pump seem to be on, the car will not turn over to start! Any ideas to that as well? cheers.
  22. Just been halfords to check again. The laser one lists other makes like ford, but not VW, so i take it this wont work? :( If not, i'll just visit me local factors, there bound to have one....
  23. the windback tool in my halfords says that its not for VW. They only seem to do the 1, so is that one ok?
  24. Sounds good m8. Wot sort of bhp and torque are running now then? and what will u expect after that is fitted?
