Ive done a few searches, but havnt really found an answer to what Im after, and in fact has raised a few more questions...... 1. Im in no rush really to do it, but Im going to get new suspension fitted. Whats the difference between a Koni SSK and the FK(?) equivilent? Are they much better than the standard, or should i just pop new OEM ones on? 2. There are mentions of other things needed to be changed at same time (or at least recommended). Do these things come with these kits, and if not how much extra should I budget to get whatever it is that needs doing done? Thanks guys

From what is described in the first post it sounds like exactly the same prob I had. IF it is, then you need a new Ignition starter switch, £10 from GSF parts
-
yeah thanks for your help Henny :D
-
Ive replaced the switch at last and guess wot? :D me car starts!!!! woohoo!!

My G60 has 155k on the clock, but has been looked after. The guy who brought it, had it for 11 and a half years and always got it serviced regular at VW. Also he only did M/way miles, so car never really went above 3k revs. Charger was in near perfect condition, dispite never being rebuilt before I got it!! Only cost me 2g so u can find some real bargains out there, just be ultra careful, and follow the fantastic buying guide on this site :D

i'd check the tyres and suspension on the rear m8.

Just to confirm m8, can i go for the small "Corrado G60" Option please. How soon would you need the money for this?

i love the comment "14.5 - thats not quick tho is it...." WTF?!?!?!!! -
Right, ive had a look, and in the door where the plug goes into the CL pump, there is another plug there, loose, but nowt for it to plug into. Is this related at all? Im going back out to check the rest of the wiring as well, but figured this may be summit to do with it....
-
thanks m8y
-
Yeah it works with the key. Is this a common problem at all? I mean, is there an obvious solution? If not, i'll go out and take a look when it stops raining, to see if any wires are unplugged.

Yeah seen that, but the starter button idea is tempting...... 8)

I am a tad confused. Should my cars central locking be activated when I set/unset the alarm? (it is a Scorpion factory fit (Quantum) alarm and the manual says "with Central Locking Interface") Reason I ask is because it dont.......
-
nice1 m8, i'll be getting a new switch asap........ 8)

This is exactly what is happening to mine!!! A m8 trying to fit a radio in, when there was a flicker of the lights, now the car turns over, but theres no volts to coil, hence no spark. One theory is that it may be the ignition coil, but im still not 100% convinced of this. Ive checked all fuses/relays that i could find, but havnt looked for those above the relays. To get her started, i have to use a bit of wire from +ve battery to +ve coil, then turn her over. Starts first time then. Try it, it may work. I know its not a solution, but it is a bypass at least. edit: oh yeah, there was no current on my radio curcuit after the flicker either. havnt been able to test it since, but i will when i get the chance.

i actually got hold of some projector lights, with angel eyes, for a Civic (believe it or not) and i was gonna use them in some morrettes on my Mondeo, but obviously i sold that. Was then toying with the idea of butchering them into the C's lights, but im not sure i should. Would be expensive if it went wrong!!
-
Anyone know if Crystal clear style lights, like the ones for golfs, are planned for the C?
-
Does anyone if any companies sell the little clips to hold the HT leads neatly together? Or even if there is another way I can get em? ( eg nick em off another motor ;) ) Mine dont have em, and it makes the enigine bay look a bit "messey", for the want of another word....
-
no chance of getting "G60" ones?
-
ok, but surely the g60 would be quicker as it is lighter? im only starting to understand bhp/torque - wieght ratios, so please forgive my ignorance...;)

thats from the one above my first post by the way
