  2. Yeah was a tad slippy at times!! I managed a 15.8 @ 87mph, which is nearly a second quicker than last time! Dam, that 65mm pully is worth every penny :D Good to meet u tho, I believe we got a few pics of u on the beedubs forum or summit (havnt checkt yet!!) ;)
  3. 4x4's out of the question, but I'll look into LSD ;) Many thanks again Henny :D
  4. :( unlucky m8, hope all is well soon ;)
  5. oh yes, traction is a problem...... infact, i was going to start thread asking about the best to stop this soon, as its a bit of a pain....;)
  6. Yes. 11.6psi @ sea level. Ive got a 65mm pulley, with Jabba chip and std fpr I get just over 1 bar, around 15 - 15.5psi
  7. at least the dude has tried summit original top marks for that. Not my cuppa, but heyho.

  9. cheers m8. at least now i know before i go ordering anything!!
  10. so which bit is it that they list in the manual and on ETKA that goes in the same place? Does that one include the guages or is it just a plate to stick em in?
  11. this may be a stupid question, but woudl this fit the "old dash" on a G60?
  12. not sure about the rear, but the skirts and front look ok to me. I wouldnt do it to mine, but i love the standard look too much. Plus it gives me a bit of a street sleeper :)
  13. spotted nearly 20 C's blitzing around MK yesterday. Wonder if......o....hang on a minite...... :? 8)
  14. golddust, I always go to Wayside parts m8, i never bother with the actual main dealer in MK. The only main dealer round here i trust round here is Keiths in Aylesbury and thats only coz I know peeps who work there!
  15. ive always experienced good vibes when ive gone to a dealer.
  16. Henny, thnx 4 the advice, I will do that now! dinkus, no i didnt get his details, altho it would have been a waste of time anyway. I rekognised them as some "Travellers" (or wotever PC word we're sposed to use now) from a permanant site nearby, so they wouldnt of had MOT/tax/ins.
  17. ok, ive got the final figure, inc. VAT etc. £2024.48 just out of curiosity, does the amount Ive got the car insured for matter in these surcumstances?
  18. mines not got ABS either (91) Must have just been an option on the early ones.
  19. UPDATE: Got a quote for repairs from Kieths VW in Aylesbury. Altho its not much damage, its going to be close to being a write off coz VW r so bloody spensive!! Repairs include: nsf wing respray[/*:m:329c3] ns door reshape and respay[/*:m:329c3] nsr 1/4 panel reshape and respray[/*:m:329c3] rubbing strip down whole ns[/*:m:329c3] alloy wheel x2 + centre cap[/*:m:329c3] wheel alignment[/*:m:329c3] As I say the damage aint as bad as that list makes it sound! its basically a small amount of scratch down the ns, but theyve gotta respray whole side of car, + the parts. Will come to around £1800 and I know the cars prolly worth loads more than that, but ins. company will only see a 13 1/2 year old car, not the fact that its a C. Oh well, I'll get the quote off and c wot they say. :brickwall:
  20. At what Revs is the best to change from/to for best acceleration in a G60? Its always confused me a tad, coz I would have fort that keeping it in the max Torque band is best, yet max boost is at around 6k. Should it be driven up to 6k, or is slightly lower better, at say, 5.5k or what? Or is it more dependent as to what gear/revs your going to? If so what revs are best to change into? BLimey, loads a q's.... Cheers guys.
  21. completely agree wiv wots been said. All I did was slap on a 65mm pully and a chip, and I now eat Rice ;) (pardon the pun)
  22. cheers m8, i fort it was that ;)
  23. ok, this has now got to the point where the car will rarely start at all, with out a push! Im getting someone to rip out the immobiliser this afternoon, but does anyone have any other ideas as to what it may be, in case its not that? I replaced the ignition switch not long back, so im guessing its not that, but i do remember reading somewhere about the earth strap from the battery oxidising? could that be a cause? Has anyone got any pics of exactly which part that is? I fink I know, but i want to be sure, and i may as well replace that while im there.
  24. all good thnx guys. replaced standard sender wiv new one for guage, wired it all up last nite and works a charm! now i need to work out what guage i want in the third guage mount. ive fort about oil pressure, but if i can get that middle bit that some have wiv the voltage and pressure on that, then i wont bother and will get a air/fuel ratio job instead.
  25. ok ive sussed it. The bit thats broke off the "fastener" made such a clean brake, u cant see where its broken!!! I'll go get a new one from Wayside parts in MK in the mornin. Cheers 4 help guys.
