Right, I need to replace my disc's and pads all round. I figured that now would be a good time to uprate them seeing as they need changing andthe fact that im currently pushing around 200 ponies, and soon to be more. I want to keep my 15" BBS's, so what options do I have? Whats the best setup for front Disc's/pads/calipers and the same for rear? I'll warn you now that I know very little when it comes to brakes......except that I push and I stop ;) Cheers guys.

The pod is fun, but its not really a good test for how quick a car is. A track is a much better way to find out what car is "quicker"

I live in Eaton Bray. It may surprise you then that theres several Corrado's in the Leighton area, of most flavors (VR6, G60 and 16v). I Notice you still live in Bedfordshire, so you should check out Beds VW Club. ;)

The plastic cover bit on me hand brake has broke around the bottom and now comes off whenever I release the hand brake. Its hitting something in center console, almost as if the leaver itself is bent towards the driver, so it catches on summit and pushes it off. The only way to prevent it is push the leaver towards the passenger side whilst releasing. Anyone know what this could be? Is it just the fact that the leaver may be bent? Is it a common problem? Is there an easy fix? I remember seeing a few other C's without the plastic bit, so was just wondering.

it may well feel like its pulling fine, but u'll get better accelleration if you keep it in the power ;)
-
Personally, I never take take mine above about 5500 - 5800. Max power for a G60 is at 5600 anyway, so theres little point going above that i would have thought. And surely you want to compromise between power and max torque, so keeping in the max torque would be better for acceleration as well? (4000 - 5500)

nice1 thnx ;) i spose i should add that the figures i put up there are also for base models of g60 and 16v.
-
officially 1115kg for a G60 and 1100kg for a 1.8 16v. not sure about the others, although i would be interested to know as I'm trying to complie stats for loads of VW's for the beedubs website

cheers guys

chances are its going to be a write off, but it only basically needs a respray down the passenger side really. I want to prove to em that its worth more, as you say £2500 - £3000, coz it'll still be a write off, but I can get it repaired for a lot cheaper, and it'll leave me with some cash for new suspension ;) Ive already downloaded some ads from Autotrader, but they range from £2000 to £4000 :?

Ive had an insurance assesor man around (finally.....only crashed in october  ) and they've got back as to the value of my G60. At the time of the accident, 15th October 2004, with roughly 155k on the clock, he rekons the car was worth £2100. OK, its fairly high mileage, but its been well looked after, full VW history up to 130K then private history since. And we all know that dub 8v engines go and go when there well looked after. Apart from the damage from the accident its in good condition, with just a few stone chips at the front, what u wud xpect from a 14yr old car, thats spent most of its life on a motorway. Does a value of £2100 sound about right for a '91 G60? I fort they were worth more towards the £2500 - £3000 mark?

I've been asked by a club member as to wether or not its poss to put the throttle bodies from a VR6 onto an 8v enigne. I've never heard of this being done, but is it possible? cheers.

when i first started playing online games (the original CS :D ) a m8 of mine started a clan wiv a few other guys called [swF]. I decided to play along one day and needed a name. There was a Blade poster on teh wall, so I became [swF]Blade. Over the years that became swfblade or even swiftblade. Thats my story. -
