  1. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE my car but I wish this had come up three months ago. Colour wasn't any kind of priority for me, I've wanted a C so long I didn't care but Blackberry is my favourite and this would have been just perfect :)
  2. I'm guilty of similar myself. When I go to the garage for something other than the car I give her a little stroke or a pat, then sigh in admiration before wrestling with my heart as I walk out the door. Christ! I sound like a complete nutter :D
  3. Congratulations! I love Black Corrados. I hope you really enjoy her :)
  4. It's okay! It goes out after ten minutes when the car realises it doesn't have any
  5. Not a Corrado, but a silver blue Mk2 Scirocco on the A507 (herts/beds) heading west. I did a friendly flash but he was flying past a lesser vehicle at the time :D Looked lovely...
  6. Erm. It's a bit embarrassing, I've been a right lady-owner and strung fairy lights up :D:o just need to install various hooks for the husbands fishing rubbish, I mean stuff, or tackle or whatever it is. In other news my CCGB membership pack came today!
  7. Finished the garage... She's in
  8. Washed and dried her before starting the mammoth task that is clearing out the garage for her. 10 years since we bought the house and not one car has made me want to do it before now :) fingers crossed she'll be in by tomorrow night. No more rain coming through the leaky broken sunroof* *it's on the list.
  9. Green M reg on trade plates passed me as I was sat in traffic about 5pm opposite the VW dealership in Letchworth. I was in mine but I don't think the driver spotted me.
  10. If I ever get married again it'll be to my Corrado. It's unreliability I can rely on ;) Congratulations!!!!
  11. Apart from the makeup, that literally sounds like my husband I'm glad I'm not the only one who values the importance of parking far away. I park way away from anyone with doors on their car. The one time I didn't, my last car received the worst possible ding, paint removed and all :( Edit - as for the advert, I imagine there are few low milage about mine has only 73,500 (1.5k are mine)the history indicates it's only ever been used as a weekender and done a few thousand miles a year on average and all the problems I seem to be getting with her are due to non-usage. Sometimes low miles isn't always a good thing.
  12. Nice find! Congratulations :)
  13. Crikey! Lots of Corrados out today. Must be the sunshine :thumbleft:
  14. ^^^ it looks like a monster next to the VX :D My driveway would look perfect with one parked next to my Flash Red VR ;)
  15. Great news! I hope it's in perfect condition and back with its owner :)
  16. My favourite article is the one in my sig (for obvious reasons) but thanks for the tip off. I'm collecting proof to show my husband buying one wasn't complete madness ;)
  17. Just followed a blackberry VR6 N-reg into my village in Bedford, we drove past the other C in the village before you pulled into the village hall carpark (near the hangars) I would have stopped (at the risk of being weird) had I not had to get the kids home for dinner. Gave a few toots as I was in mine.
  18. You're spot on there. Some walnut wouldn't look out of place either :D. I still like it though
  19. 80's cars FTW! That SZ is about the only thing that could turn my head over my Corrado. When the C hits the 80k milage mark I'll be aiming to retire her as a second car, hopefully to a Alfa 159. It's the headlights that get me I think ;) still not a patch on the SZ though.
  20. Congrats! I quite fancied a second one in blue but the lottery draw didn't comply dammit! I've learnt a lot from this forum already so you're in the right place :-) Enjoy your new car :thumbleft:
  21. Nice! I need new clips for mine, currently driving with a naked fuse box. Do you have the part number?
  22. BIB - that's just showing off! Mine has a broken slider and it's leaking so mine comes with in-car shower when it's been raining ;) Only thing I've done with mine is drive it with the biggest grin. Oh and I stuck a "V-dub" fish (like a Jesus fish but with wheels) in the window. She's running like a dream (for now)
  23. Gave her a wash and had my little bro come over from the West Midlands with VAG-com to diagnose the ABS error (rear left sensor) no other errors. Took her out round town but there was ton of traffic and I'm sure she was a little hesitant or misfiring on the way home, she just felt lumpy. Filled her up with fuel. I think she has crap in her fuel tank as she was low. We'll see. My little bro is a very experienced mechanic with lots of VW experience, especially anything pre-mid-nineties (for which he has a varied collection) and while he was here, he gave her a good once over and advised that although I should expect the usual problems, I'd bought a bloody good car for her age. Chuffed to bits, after a good 8 months reading and looking she was the first I test drove and bought so the last three months ownership have not been lucky (rear ended after a month) and have been filled with the fear I had been a bit rash. Confidence restored. Until the next issue...
  24. Yeah i've spoken to the guy with the red one, he lives near me. Not sure about his new wheels though. I haven't seen a grey one but I don't drive through town often, I like the country lanes to the east. If I want to pose then I find an excuse to eat macdonalds in aspects car park
  25. I'm from very near Bedford, there are a few C's around here, I know of three others :-) Mines a flash red L reg VR6 and I'm female, hope to see you about. I have an intermittent ABS issue myself. I know I have ABS AS I can feel it so I'm guessing it's a sensor out. I had a full service (+ a few extras) this month already but this is next on the list for the next wage packet! As for your lights, I'd leave them personally but then I like them as original as possible. Mine hasn't been played with, but I will have it lowered.
