Nice find mate - i was after a mk2 gti before the Rado but everything i looked at under £1000 was utter crap !! If it wasnt rust, it was the engine that was knackered Ive had a couple of 8v gti's - good cars 8) C

Interesting thread this, my Rado has a FSH all stamped up by VW garages but no mention of a cambelt change - its on 89k now ? C

Alrite, picked my Rado 16v up on Wednesday, just like to see if anyone recommends checking or changing anything now its mine ? AFAIK the cam belt has not been changed, mileage is at 89k so im guessing that could do with being changed ? Any advice for a newbie would be appreciated anyway.. C :)

Hi lads can you tell me what size the standard size alloys and tyres were on my Rado when it left the factory in '89 - its on a G plate When i picked it up the other day it has 15" alloys (not sure on width, probably 6.5") running 195 50 15 tyres at the front, and 195 45 15 rear cheers, C :)

Hi, since buying my Rado ive insured it with Tesco (cheap as chips) but the car must have a Thatcham approved Cat1 or Cat2 imobiliser.. fair enough what imobilisers have you found to be a good choice with the Rado ? (makes etc) dont want to spend a lot, probably £150 max ? ta

Alrite all, got myself a G reg 1.8 16V Rado yesturday, very chuffed with it 89k fsh all stamped by VW dealers been resprayed in bright red, seems really genuine Just wanted to say hello really, came across this forum after browsing Clubgti C. 8)
