  1. Well well well... https://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C1192390
  2. Well, we certainly stick to it in the summer... Personally the Storm doesn't appeal to me any more these days than a standard VR6. A mate of mine had a green one and we always thought the cream interior should have been continued onto the dashboard (allowing for darker, easier to keep clean carpets). Having the black dash just seemed a bit half-hearted. I think they dug themselves a hole there. Picture lifted from the internet.
  3. A Mk1 Golf L in Lofoten Green with orange interior. 1976 reg KSH391P. I paid about £700 for it and every penny was wasted. It was a well concealed basket case and I was naive and in a hurry to get a car. Really learnt my lesson with that heap.
  4. I had them on an Oak Green 16V Golf that I bought in '97. They did look really good on it. To Micky Blue, when new the scalloped sections by the holes were a darker grey than the rest of the wheel. Actually you can see it on the photos linked above.
  5. I fitted the headlight protectors that arrived yesterday. Lovely simple fitment and not too obvious.

    Oh dear..!!

Yeah, if there's one skill I'd like to gain it'd be welding and bodywork.

    Oh dear..!!

It seems odd it doesn't say "blau" rather then "blue". Sounds more like a Tintin adventure. There's some writing on mine in a similar area but I can't remember what it say. Good luck with the welding. DIY?
  8. It would be interesting to know if it's the same story in other countries. Are they more appreciated in USA or Holland? From what I can see we are a fairly low key level headed bunch, not prone to the sort of hyperbole that is associated with other marques or models. We all know what we've got and we appreciate it but maybe we don't tend to go on about it much?
  9. It's the one I bought and it works well. The instructions are clear and it's plug and play after that. I've put the junction bracket bit under the battery jacket bit so it's hidden.
  10. It's all the more ridiculous when you see something like this. https://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C973174 Corrado tax is much higher then Porsche tax, it seems.
  11. I'm glad to hear you had a good run out. I took mine out on Sunday for the first run since the MOT in January. I got about 6 miles before I had to accept a caliper was binding. Turned round and went home! New caliper bought from Heritage (thanks guys) and possibly to be fitted this weekend if I get in the mood.
  12. Mine is M89MWP, I wonder how many of that batch registered are still about.
  13. I missed that one! I like seeing those key milestones / mileages come up but I didn't think of it. At my rate it'll be a loong time before I see 234567.
  14. 123823 on a '95 VR. So, that's 900 miles since the last MOT, next one booked for next weekend. I really should use it more.
