  1. Unfortunatley your charger cant be rebuilt as its damaged the casigns. If you are looking for a replacment charger serviced with full warranty to the desired spec you like then i can help you. Contact me for more details. rgds
  2. kompressors use eaton chargers, there is a difference, eatons arent as effcient and produce more heat. Lysholms have an internal compression ratio , they produce more boost, more cfm although eatons can be found for much cheaper...
  3. You are aware that Lysholm chargers are loud, BBM sells them complete kit plug and play. Although since they are produced in Sweden you might be able to find some there for cheaper. If installed correctly these chargers arent as noisy. They are rated of producing around 490 cfm at 18000 rpm which is its max safe speed, pretty good number to suffocate the stock 8v sucker
  4. What a nightmare, my sympathies to you. :| get it sort it you know you'll love her back
  5. http://www.paceproducts.co.uk/automotive-parts.shtml these guys make chargecooler systems, it consits of all bits you need, core, radiator, pump and deposit. They have single cores, 2,3 and 4 cores. This is an alternative if you dont want to go front mount and want to keep the boost piping short and improve responsivity, this coolers are really good especially for 1/4 miles :) . They also make intercoolers to ur spec. rgds
  6. dont use corrado g60 intercooler, they arent the ideal ones. Id consider the advice aposegil has given as i have seen his one which is also good value for money, but you might run into fittemnt issues with stock front bumper. rgds
  7. its 213bhp at the crank not at the wheels right? Its easy to get those 2 mixed up but a good number. Any 1/4 mile times for this car? rgds
  8. Jim have you checked your plugs? Give em a good clean with a wire brush. They would give you rough idea if you are pinking that bad. Having an a/f gauge on g60 helps getting a rough idea on your mixiture which could reduce chances from any serious meltdown. For ultimate accuracy having a wideband readout would tell you exactly whats happening with your fuel mixiture. rgds
  9. which bearing do you need?
  10. sh!t dude it sucks, im in the same boat as you as my g60 will be written off i think because some prick with a BMW thought he was Montoya fucking bmw drivers  if you got the reg of the other car im sure they can find it and an inspection can take place. Good luck! Hope the other car is insured :( and they dont play the "it got stolen thing"
  11. To avoid this try and make your car more areodynamic or get more power  Seriously why would you want to go faster than 140mph, oh except 3 in the morning
  12. Ah they look sweet james, you going to have them on the car before me oh well

    Turbo?

Yes of course the valve train and head design is completley different, 20v breathe much better, higher cfm flow, better quench area design and heat dispersion, put the same turbo size on a 20v and 8v g60 and guess who will spool up faster. Exactly, sacrifice some spool time, this takes the 8v g60 into high 3k revs or maybe 4k to spool up its turbo and you will have a few more revs left. The manufactures give you the warranty under terms and conditions, when you go and spin the crap out of the turbo surley wont last as long. I don't hate turbos  i just think that for a stock g60 a turbo isnt the best option, the head design will limit you from fitting a decent sized turbo, plus it will heatsoak even worse with a turbo glowing red underneath the inlet. But as others have pointed out the benefits are the alternatives cheaper ways to go turbo like using a td manifold and other junkyard setups. I suggest you should drive a g60 turbo first before you decide to go other way. Whats the fun driving a G60 without a G60

    Turbo?

But we are talking different engines here, differnt number of valves ect... Id like to see a turbo spool up at 2000 rpm and produce big power up top. How long will that little KO3 snail last to make 240 hp  We dont want to start a war supercharger vs turbo now

    Turbo?

Yes it can be done but you have to deal with issues like downpipe cracking/lag ect. Most people in US using atp turbo kits have found out that no all parts bolt on straight due to manifold and downpipe issues. The G60 was build for a supercharger, has a low rev range and the bottom end is heavy. Long term turbo will give you more reliability, also since you are going crossflow its a big plus because you can fit a bigger turbo and not kill the inlet manifold with read hot heat from the turbo. If you like a flat tourqe and hp curve throughout the rev range stay supercharged if you like lag and peak hp go turbo. :)
  16. I have some similar rims but at 10x17 profile for the rears, im wondering if they will fit without arch rolling :?
  17. very nice, perfection 8) what profile are your rims and tires mate? rgds
  18. good thing you are uprating the conrods as they give up around 400 whp. 800hp is alot of power even with nitrous, are you keeping the head hydro or going solid? Good work 8) that G60 badge looks cool aswell :-P

    Larger intercooler

Well you will have to move your alternator in order to fit the manifold, good luck as its messy

    Larger intercooler

In fact if you are planning on using a custom made manifold (log style) similar to 1.8T you can use this intercooler very well, would be best if your manifold intake will be positioned on the right side of the engine same as the g60 side, this way you will have very short tubing for the ic therefore less boost lost and faster response. rgds

    Larger intercooler

Well no one mentions here that the raylle/golf mk2 intercooler fits in with original bumper and rad, you dont have to hack any bits off your slam pannel  and alex you have a different bumper which allows you to fit this forge interccoler which you have. Some people want to keep the front stock and want an intercooler system which fits and its an original VW piece, no metal piping welding needed. I have a porsche intercooler in my g60 as you know but i could only fit it with the use of RS4 style front bumper, if i do it again id definatley spend the money on a mk2 g60 interccoler than going the long route of hacking bits of hte car and spending hours underneath it, also the golf ic flows very good, if you buy the kit you wont need to use an rs outlet, so is things like these which make me thing that the mk2 g60 interccoler kit with pipes and bends its worth the money.
  22. Hello mate, pm sent for a brief description. :)
  23. fitting 2 intercoolers will lower the temps but will reduce boost build up and responsivness. Why not instead use 1 intercooler big enough for your needs ilke they mentioned the golf g60 or one from vito merc. The corrado is cramped for space at the front and the position where the charger is makes it harder to fit 2 intercoolers. Removing the boost return pipe and routing cold air to your airbox/induction filter will further improve things, also think about a second air filter on the charger sucking some nice cold thick air. Doing all these will improve things quite a bit, if you are still runing hot then use a crossflow or 16v head :-P
  24. if you are having a hard time removing the bumper you can very easily remove the left front mud guard and that will give you easy acces to the intercooelr which has 3 bolts holding it. As for the pulley to be sure you can measure it with a vernier for its diameter or use a ruler but less accurate. rgds
