well iv tried the stock injectors with fp raised at 4 bar and they flow about 310cc, at 16psi they hold fine no pinkin but it also depends what chip your using, the 310cc flow about 420cc at 4 bar. Of course you can get red tops but these also work. the fuel pump has to be uprated tho to deal with the higher pressure, would be easier than changing chip to accomodate 320 or 380cc injectors. To perfectly tune a car a/f mixiture right a fpr is needed imho. Oh and u think 36lb are big, ppl run 42lb on g60, as matter of fact SNS is bringing out their new chip consisting of a setup of 42lb injectors for the highly tuned G60 so have you ppl even tried this or you talking outta your asses

with 65mm i would do it every 10-20k miles but all depends on driving style and max rev,you can use stock injectors even at 15-16 psi, all you need is a fuel pressure regulator set up at about 4-4.5 bar, and a special chip for it, but changing to 32lb or 36lb injectors will help. i would stick with 68 mate if i was you unless you require ultimate boost, spend your money ona cam or a ic instead.

R1 Vs Stage 4 and Charge cooled Vs Intercooled Vs Water Inj?
LowG replied to raddo_g60's topic in Engine Bay
On a price basis goes down like this intercooled aquamist chargecooled From what i know intercooling and chargecooling are the best ways to go,aquamist would be last on my list. Intercooler would be more efficient in high speeds and chargecooling is efficient in low speeds where intercooler is not so efficient due to less air passing through it. They all have the same effect, at the moment im working in a cold air inducion system which im hoping to get a good result out of. Flow is also very important in a system, so a system with a intercooler and charge cooler set up as simply and with less bends as possible would be ideal. -
R1 Vs Stage 4 and Charge cooled Vs Intercooled Vs Water Inj?

Iv done my own FMIC conversion on my G60 and if I remember it right it cost me quite a bit but cheaper than what tuners would charge certanly. Personally i would do the FMIC first as this is a more universal and long term piece of equipment. if i had a choice i would do a intercooled/charge cooled system which woult really work nice, i know someone that is doing this at teh moment so ill let you know how it goes. SO with the FMIC you have relaiability and gives better looks to your car. -
its a octane booster additive, its used as a paint thinner, its known to be carcinogenic although even petrol is but what the hell. Im trying to find some to try it out on my car.

anyone know where is best place to buy some toluene :?

Yes one of the pipes in the co pot does have boost, you can hook it up there or also behind the dials there is the vacume line, you can just put a T junction in it. Maybe its just grease that you can see in the output? Although its quite possible that you might have a damaged oil seal,i would get the charger checked, when was last time was serviced??? Rmm that boost you are getting is too low, either have a boost leak or a bad charger. A standart g60 puts out about 10 psi in average on stock pulley. rgds

ill have a set jason, would these bolt on or would hey require any drilling ect. I have early bonnet. rgds -
No 700 pounds is just for the charger, fitting is at extra cost. rgds
-
cost is from 700 which i do them up to 1200 to what some companies sell a standart charger. Its a very crucial part in the G60 matter of fact is the most important part in the car, if maintained well these units are very reliable. Most chargers die due to improper air filtration by air filter and unservicing. The cog belts are the cause of blown chargers in 80% of cases, by servicing your charger and replacing the cog belt to a super wide one you have peace of mind on it.

:( sorry to hear it mate, i know it sucks, i have got a charger for sale http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic.php?t=7671, or i can get you another charger at any spec. call me or pm me formore details rgds

how about this one http://www.kwsuspensions.com/r32/HPA_R32_TT.wmv twin charged 0.60 in 3.2 sec and 1/4 mile in 11.4 at 121mph , i want one :(

I see the Mclaren F1Lm alloys on it, good work 8)
-
that dosent look bad, very agressive but all it needs is a R32 3.2 turbo transplant and a 4wd system with DSG, definetly a real killer.
-
Is this for the original black box??
-
yes the black box or resonator box does absorb some of the noise that charger makes, install an RSR outlet and youll be pleased with the difference also you will have to worry less about boost leaks. rgds

Due to some rattling i been getting latley from exhaust i removed it today, i have a 2.5" decated custom exhaust. It has 3 silencer including the backbox, after i removed it i found out that in the midd silencer the insulating cloth or fibreglass was all gone  , So all it was left was the little tube with holes in it which is used as the passage way. My first silencer and backbox seemed fine. has anyone had this problem in a G60? Im suspecting this has been due to runing rich for a while, and also backfiring. Switched the car on with just the cat bypas attached and bloody hell sounds like a freaking tank. Im in the look for another catback system now  rgds
-
ill be interesed in the cat back system as at the mo iv taken the exhaust off due to silencer failure and rattling,i have a few cracks on it which aint worth welding, If u let me know how much a cat back system will be and if we have a tailpipe style selection would be great darren :) rgds

cool cant wait to buy it, did u do a 1/4 mile test?? 8)
-
u can do a wheel bearing yourself mate not hard at all, even easier if its a rear one. Like joe said that is too expensive, normal garages charge about £250-300 for a clutch
-
you might wanna look at my setup, if you planing for a front mount Rs bumper set up. its just perfect for that usage, will flow more air than the g60 will ever produce and cool very well, im very happy with it plus it looks cool, would be very hard for the raylle ic to make it hit enough air as its too big unless you do some bumper butchering. rgds
-
that is big 8)
-
hmm, im runing a large FMIC but i havent bolted mine on the rad, iv made a few brackets and fitted it under the rad, although the shape of the ic makes this easier. It all depends on the ic size you are using. Dont golf g60 have the raylle big rad ??
