  1. got my charger back! stage 4 oooooooooh yyeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaa fitted to the car, with a new air filter got a couple of breather filters, one for the rocker cover and one for the isv heres the isv fitted onto the car finally the engine as it stands at the minute
  2. the drivers side please mate, how much for postage?
  3. you have pm! shame about the car, looked really nice. what happened?
  4. i like that! very clean and stock looking. only critisism is to loose the brown tape from around the ecu lol :D
  5. ^^^^^^ i second that^^^^^^^ had the same thing happen on my old mk1.the seals had gone inside and the fluid leaked into the servo! you wana sort that sharpish because i can tell you it wasnt fun using gears and a handbrake to stop!
  6. yea i wasnt asking about laquering lol but thanks for that, wanted to kno about powder coating as ive heard its really durable, dont really want the wheels painted as it wouldnt look right.has any body had this done? or even chrome powder coat?
  7. can this be done? just planning ahead really. my wheels are in good nick but i know one day they will need a refurb. my question is can i have them polished to a mirror shine then clear powdercoated? i know the shine would be dulled down a bit but thats not much of an issue. Also does anyone know who could do this kind of work?
  8. i dunno why but theres has been a craze in black wheels the last couple years. I cant stand it to be honest as you dont really see the detail of the wheel, but thats just me. I like the design of those though but in 15 inch i dont think it would suit the corrado unless its literally sitting on its arse
  9. i have been looking through some galleries and i came across corradonald's rado, stunning motor with some trick touches. Hes got a front mounted intercooler behind the grille (see pics - hope you dont mind me pinching these pics corradonald) im liking this idea as i can keep the boost pipes nice and short. Is there any reason i couldnt do this on my g60? would it block flow to my radiator in such a way that my cooling would be compromised?
  10. another side on shot that i found
  11. yea im a bit upset about it too! but im definatly not letting that engine go to waste.ive decided to stick it in a mk1 golf lol. dunno wether ill stick with megasquirt though. ive forgotten loads since i last touched it!
  12. looks like tornado red, have a look in the boot at the sticker benath the lock - should have a paint code
  13. yea my fan was working correctly then one day when it was bucketing down the fan came on and never turned off! bit of a poke around and i saw that same stray wire dangling down behind the airbox in a tiny puddle of water. it was earthing against the bodywork. i tried to look for that sender but i never found it. Then i saw one on the back of the head thats why i insulated it and tucked it away
  14. not all of them have it, mine doesnt and ive seen a few others that dont. i have a sender for it on the back of the head with a wire already atached. The fan stil functions correctly so i insulated it and tucked out of the way. it may just be that all the 16vs have it but it isnt always used
  15. nice idea although i think it makes the car look dated
  16. thanks mate, cant wait to get the charger back as im missing driving it already n its only been a week!
  17. small update, not a lot going on. Took my supercharger off to be rebuilt, thought id have it back last weekend but the chap doing it has found that jabba did a half arsed job at porting it, so now hes going all out and fully porting it (full blend- whatever that means) That should be back with me this week. In the meantime ive been tidying up the engine bay a bit. I resprayed the rocker cover using metal etch pimer and then smooth silver hammerite spray paint. Changed the gasket also as it was leaking. also painted the charger and alternator bracket and the inlet manifold When i took the silencer box off the charger all of the bolts just spun in the plastic so i had to break it to get it off! managed to get a metal outlet off a forum member and also painted that as it was a bit scratched. Sourced a reducer pipe and coupler off ebay to join it to the existing pipework on the car Alternator got the paint treatment too lol Cleaned the airfilter and painted the heatshield matt black as the plain metal finish didnt cut it i made up a blanking plate for the charger ( to get rid of the boost return) finally heres my corrado forum sticker (cheers shawshank kid) that i stuck on today
  18. cool thanks for the quick reply! is that on the charger side or the side you clamp the hose to?
  19. anyone know this? its the tapered style outlet. Managed to source one but i need to get silicone hose to put on it.It will be connecting up to the standard intercooler piping so i need to know the length and diameter. cheers guys
  20. i envy you! hav you had anything done to the engine?
  21. nice progress, not too sure about the lines on the wing though, i see in one of the pics your mpg is 32.7 ! im lucky to be getting 20 lol
  22. right i took the charger of today to be sent for rebuild however when i got to the stage of removing the silencer box all the bolts were just spining. I didnt have a long enough extension to reach the bolt inside so i had to break the silencer off (had some cracks in it anyway!) so now im on the look out for a replacement outlet.ive been doing some searching and seen the rsr ones. theres one that was staight and one that is curved, was just wondering which one is best for me to use? Im runnung a standard intercooler and piping
  23. tolworth ay, not far from where i work. might have to give him a call as ive got 1 annoying little dent on the bottom of my door
  24. was hoping it wasnt the lambda lol i heard they are expensive! may have to sell a limb to get one. Is the lambda used during startup? reason i ask is that in the morning it takes about 5 seconds of cranking before she coughs into life. warm starts are ok though. The blue temp sender has been changed also
  25. only had the g60 for just over a month n jeez does it drink fuel. Did a bit of a search and found two things that could be the culprit! firstly was the co pot. Checked the resistance yesterday and it was 200 ohms! so i raised that up to 550 to see how i get on. There was no difference in the performance and there was a marginal improvement in petrol consumption. I never actually checked the mfa mpg readout before so i did today NOT IMPRESSED! how does the mfa calculate the mpg? i know it must go through the ecu. Does the lambda reading affect it? ie if i had a duff one would it lower my mpg reading?
