So .... as we all know there will be a Corrado VR6 on the new show which starts next Monday on Discovery Channel. Just seen a post on the Facebook page where he listed the cars on the show. The first next Monday being a Rover P5B. The Corrado was listed 3rd - so if this list was in the correct order the Corrado will be shown on the 7th September. Cant wait to 1. See what he does, 2. See how much money is spent and 3. What it sells for. Will keep an eye out for confirmation of the date but thought I would share my guess

And this is a bit beyond me but again backs up the above... http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?38298-sunroof-motor-repair
-
Show him this when you speak to him. May help and makes an interesting read... Could be why Ians motor didn't improve things as they may all have this problem if second hand... Is there another direct swap motor that may be better? http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?87879-Sunroof-motor-brushes

Need to find a decent one that will investigate properly... Last one i used wasn't up to much

I can't help but think all the talk about the mechanism being a common fault has been a misdirection and there is something else electrical... If only we could solve it.... If the mechanisms work intermittently then surely it's something else.... But what and how to fix it????!!
-
Oh my... What have I started lol
-
Wish I had half these skills... Great work Jim
-
Does sound like we have the same issue -= maybe someone else on here will see this and will solve it for us - When I press switch I hear the relay click just not always any result - but some times it works - as I say though the mechanism when it does work moves sunroof to all positions no problem
-
Although saying that - its not the end of the world
-
I hate random electrical faults Lol!
-
Just bumping this so Ian sees my thank you
-
Surprised he could fit it in his Aladdins cave of a (2) sheds.... Full of goodies
-
Oh and thanks for the cups of tea and thanks to your wife for entertaining Tracie while we dabbled
-
Just a quick thank you to GloucesterOx (Ian) for his valuable time yesterday afternoon - taking a look at my sunroof problem we didn't find the problem - new motor didn't work nor did the switch. Not convinced its the mechanism in any way as intermittently it works in all positions - so im still thinking maybe there is a wiring fault maybe a dry joint somewhere?? Love your car mate - engine bay looks great and thanks for the drive out in it - sold on the B12s - great ride height and feel so - may have to sell the Eibach lowering springs I bought 2nd hand and see if I can save up quickly for a set. Was also a nice opportunity to get a good drive out in my C and give it a bit of welly down the A417 - was very little traffic so had some fun and smiles. Cheeers again mate

Wouldn't say no to it! -
If you buy the pack of 6 - Front, Rear and mids from C&R I think they are roughly 115 - if separate substantially more

I used to have a Celica 1.8 vvti for my workhorse was great ao looked ok

18 months will be good... May not be black but it's so much better than the before photo
-
It's a tiny bottle but you use such a tiny amount it spreads really well and is a clear liquid.... Will do further photos over time and keep you all informed. First impressions are positive
-
Suppose on a positive note. Twenty years life span was a pretty good innings.
-
Must admit I had noticed the edge was ever so slightly rough and wondered why..... Now I'm enlightened... Cheers
-
Ah right..... Does look better trimmed I suppose.
-
Gotta love you tube... Up there with Google and wiki for saving my life... Lol
-
Yes absolutely... So I guess it stops gunk getting in the channel. Hopefully not too much of a problem as mine is garaged. Thanks again.
