Hi Nigel - thinking of having one for my VR later in the year - need to save some pennies first - noticed on your web site you can also do a remap - can you give me some idea of the gains I could expect - do you have a rolling road to do a before and after? How long would you need the car for as I live in Swindon. Oh and what would the costs be for each? Thanks

Corrado vr6 Storm full restoration project
Chuggs1 replied to Blademan72's topic in General Car Chat
There are lots of threads on here about this subject - I think that most people move to a Passat moonroof -
Nice day for a drive.... Then most Sundays are.

Don't disagree

No idea but wish I had watched that and not Jurassic world.... Was ok but....

Good luck with the sale - a sad day indeed - hope to see you back in one in the not too distant future - and good luck saving for a house - its got to be done

Great advice guys thanks
-
So why don't you use water?
-
Will be making some investments this weekend
-
Great advice... Thanks
-
Question... Doesn't using water help get rid of any grit like dust without getting scratches? Does show and shine do similar? Always up for trying something different. May give it a go

Roger - im the same - paid a bit over the odds for mine and a little more that this Storms on for - although didn't buy for an investment and hopefully he low mileage helps me - that's what im telling myself anyway. Im just too impatient and decided I wanted a Storm or a VR and could not wait for the Storm to come up. To be honest I would have paid £7k for a good one!

Love both sets of wheels - but think I will stick with 15s or maybe 16s - none of this arch rolling for me. Lovely car mind! - and the best colour. Looks stunning under the lights in the fuel station. Oh and if you guys do look at a meet south midlands I may have a trip up too - not too far from Swindon - although think I need to get my passport renewed first! lol.

That's cruel... Don't tempt the poor man.
-
Lol - yes saw that too... And the comment about the not so rare nugget yellow
-
For their relative rarity - there seem to be more (or as many) G60s for sale as VR6s. But looks like most have been heavily messed with - although I have seen a couple of unmolested ones recently - maybe just with charger upgrades - So .... when you getting number 4
-
There are a few Facebook pages for Corrados - worth putting this up on them and many don't come onto the forum until help is needed with repairs! Good luck finding some people I wish you well with it and thoughts go out to this gentleman!

Maybe I should actually read some of the stuff I have! Normal bloke though - don't read manuals or instructions lol!
-
All is well - it was just me being impatient - nothing wrong with start up at all - just see the rev counter drop to 0 for fraction of second then fires into life - no touching the pedal
-
You temped to have a 3rd haha!. Actually always wanted a Storm but none were around when I was looking - love Mystic blue as a colour anyway. And it looks like a really nice one. Maybe I should swap - don't even mind he much higher mileage. although not sure he wold do that as it says moving to London
