Sun all afternoon

Hi My ABS light intermittently comes on and stays on - it doesn't always do this and if I pump the brake pedal a couple of times before starting the engine it often does not come on. I have just had an alarm fault sorted out (all sorted now) and when I went to pick up the car I was told they had diagnosed an Outlet Valve" problem which relates to the ABS light being on. The auto electrician who had done this had left for the day so I could not get the actual fault code. Can anyone help with this? Is this a new pump and ecu? If so where can I get one and how much are they - what sort of fitting job is it (how many hours) Thanks

Hey Sean is that more than they would have got 10 years ago? Just wondering if prices are staying level or raising slightly in last 10 years ... Still think there is room to go up. But think owners can be a bit negative and maybe keep prices down themselves lol

OK..... emailed Association of British VW Clubs (ABVWC) and go a reply back from a helpful guy - Steve Neil - apparently its the same arrangements as previous years - email Steve Neil - he will then emaail a gate pass to you and you pay the £5 direct to him on the day - sorted The email address I contacted him through is - [email protected] So.... Hopefully see a few of you there and my show virginity will be broken

Just reading this old post and was interested to read about the supply and demand one comment from Vaghag saying 10 pages of cars available and another saying only 5 within 60 miles - seems like supply is taking a dip now - on Pistonheads we have total of 6 in the UK of which only 3 VR6 and on autotrader we have 6 of which 2 x VR6 UK wide. Some of these are the same cars - looks like times are changes with regards to supply - now we just need the demand!!!! And regarding the title of this post - wonder if that's why so many cars are missing their warning triangles and first aid kits....... places to hide said narcotics

Ok will message the contact for the show and see if I can get some info and if I do i will share. I thought the £5 was to have the car on the stand and then it was £10 per head if paid in advance ??? Never taken a car to a show so I'm clueless lol

An interesting point ..... my drivers side window does the same intermittently. - In the morning it always works but now its warm by lunchtime it doesn't work again I can hear all the relays and switches but nothing happens. Guessing it gets hotter inside the door panel could this be a wiring issue caused by heat expanding something? By the late evening when its cooled down its works again????

OK had a look this morning. So 1. the £5 for the entry of the car sent with the form direct to organiser..... I don't have a cheque book anymore - do people normally send cash? 2. When I register for myself and partner to come along which is £10 a head - how and when do I pay that - it doesn't mention how and as this will be a first time - I have no idea? Can you advise please? Thanks
