Which is best for a 2.0 16v Corrado as i've heard that there's problems with them sitting to high at the front and where's the cheapest place to buy them from :wink: CheersJason

If you replace the yellow 4 pin sender don't get one from GSF there Crap i put one one and the water temp was reading 110 instead off around 90-95.Get one from the mainsteelers :wink:

When the CPS goes does it create a fault code?

Mine's been serviced at the steelers all it's life using Mobil 1 0/40 :shock: . The guy i bought it off said it never seem's to use much oil and i've got to admit it doesnt seem to smoke.. The only downside is it does tap a little on start up when cold, only for a second though ,so i might try synta silver 10/40 instead :)

You can buy a set of four from Euro car parts for about £25+vat i think. They are made for the corrado and fit really well. Have you tried the main steelers?

Diavia. I stopped them from fitting the standard Diavia switch and got them to use the switch that goes under the fan/heater controls, in a space just above the cigar lighter. That way nobody moved my original switches. It took some work but they eventually fitted it in and it looks fine. Part numbers are: 535 959 543 (correct aircon switch), 535 863 284B (replacement cover for the cigar lighter holder that enables the switch to be fitted. You may have to move your heater controls to the left hand drive version but frankly they are more reliable and fit better than the original RHD set, and the cover panel comes with the words "air condiitioned". Make sure that the install the bridging lead to the engine brain so that the engine doesnt struggle everytime the aircon relay kicks in. Normally it doesnt, but when the lights are on, the wipers on, fogs, radio, and aircon the engine gets irritated that one might be having too easy a life..... I know where there's a mk3 with aircon and it has the control panel with the buttons just under the fan control's would it be worth getting hold of it?

(C.O. readings were between 4.2 and 5.0 all the way through) That sound's way too HIGH. When the CPS goes does it create a fault code?

RESULT!!...........a mate has just bought a P-plate Golf VR this month too......he paid near £4.5k too..........although it was pretty well loaded having Climate control and leather........ I've just sold my P plate golf VR6 (well a few weeks ago) in satin silver with leather and climate for £4.5k. Could it be the same car?

I did think about taking the inlet manifold off instead and getting it out that way :cry:

Is it possible to remove it without taking the front bumper&slam panel off?

How do i get a personal steering wheel to fit on a raid snap off boss? The holes are alligned correctly but the screw holes are the wrong diameter,also even if i mannage to bolt it together the horn push won't fit properly. Is there an adaptor i need?

If anyone lives in south yorkshire or manchester area with a VR6 i could do with borrowing the relay control unit that opperates the coolant run on pump/fan (just to try ) i think there may be a problem with mine biut i dont want to buy one to find out it's not that :( If someone can help me out i'd appreciate it . I've got the Diavia setup on mine i'm hoping it's nothing too serious :roll:

I've mannaged to lube the cable as best i can using spray grease is there anything else i should try to lube do i need to strip it all down? Just wanted to make sure before i TRY and get a new motor!!

Is there an easier way to remove the rad fans other than removing the bumper and slam panel etc. I was thinking of remove the inlet manifold and taking it out this way is this possible ? Cheers Jason

My sunroof tilts okay but wont slide back properly, it goes so far and comes to a stop,but if you use the allen key to wind it manually it works fine .I suspect it's too tight for the motor to opperate it ,ive tried lubricating the runners but it makes no difference can any one tell me what to try next (i'm sure someone must have had this problem before and mannaged to cure it) any help would be appreciated or any links to a previous post :)

Can someone help me out Please . I'm trying to get the coolant run on pump to work properly but i'm not having much luck, the pump acctually works when the ignition is switched on and when the engine id running,but when i bridge the brown/ red & the brown wire together(on the 4 pin connector) nothing happens.According to the bentely manual the coolant run on pump and the cooling fan should opperate but they dont. Ive checked for a live at the 4 pin connector and that's okay,i've checked the wiring diagram in the bentley manual and it changes colour brown&red to red&black is there something else connected in between the switch and the control unir?Can someone help me out with the wiring diagram. I've checked to see if there's a feed at the relay control module (with the switch bridged ) and there's nothing :( What do i check next . I don't know if it has got any thing to do with it but it has the Diavia air con system fitted :roll: Any help would be appreciated Cheers Jason
