Well At least u know a fair bit about the cars history / good bits / bad bits from Graham s thread - which I would say is a LOT more reassuring than eBay ;) :) Once u 99% happy with car, then maybe meet Graham 1/2 way or in Edinburgh etc...but u will make that decision once u get that far in decided to buy ...

Update As NEW radiator is non-VW, after fitting the Radiator Top Flange (Coolant housing from Greece), garage thinks radiator is not manufactured correct ... So another is ordered. Does sound like the garage is very good though, if not perfect - they will make sure its perfect! :)

Nice one :) I got a bit of rust around my windscreen and was thinking what to do too. Yes - the rust treatment usually need double digit temp to cured. I know coz when I did my other car, its still sticky (Dinitrol) after a month now :( Do u mind saying how much AA charge u (but I guess its a insurance claim)? I was thinking if not too much rust on mine, a private windscreen company will sort the rust out for me too ;) What white pain your car? Is it not easier to match than metallic or red? Good work by the way !

Glad u located your leak, Southerner. My windscreen looks like a replacement too, Horrible wriggly sealant, warped outer windscreen trims, Even dash speaker cover can see excess sealant to hold it down! Touch wood its water tight - only had my Corrado for 3 weeks! Hope Carrots get his sorted too!

Cool I posted it and then thought "where that come from???" Then edited to the PIC I wanted. So I was right then ? :) Still That article read about how to get into bonnet was a shock to me! That easy?????!!!!! What's point if bonnet release in cabin then? Hope it works for OP :)
