What's the best looking/most ugly car ever made?
Riley replied to StormVR6's topic in General Car Chat
the best looking car ever made for me is... the opel manta 400. i think its the perfect shape,i sorta drew that shape as a kid when drawing cars. -
finished the t-body: fitted a solid front engine mount: and did a rush job of painting the alternator:

well with the charger being sent off to pitstop developments (see here for stripped charger pics) i thought i may as well port/polish the other half of the throttle body that i never got round to doing before. ps:im going for full blend/rsr charger outlet/68mm pulley/new oil feed pipe/sns chip. this pic shows the standard throttle body(red) and the other half i port/polished last time: i sat the other half on and marked around where they met: and here it is after a little work with the dremmel and a file, needs a bit more yet,red shows the curve ive got: blue shows where ive started to knife edge the two ports: nearly finished, just need to find my autosol :? black marker pen to show the shape i got on it: had to mark and cut the new gasket: and fitted to the other half which i previously worked on,venturi end/material removed and polished and port matched: i cant wait to get the charger back with the other bits gonna change the rocker cover gasket too in the meantime. :) i removed the ecu and took out the superchip ready for the sns :D mmmmm, crappy rocker cover and alternater... more as and when it happens, neil. :)

my contribution: the sensor sat over the fuel rail/inlet manifold is for the fan run on,after engine is switched off. or so i think? neil.
-
sent the charger off to psd for full blend treatment, should come back with 68mm pully/rsr outlet/new oil feed/sns chip. and ive been finishing off my throttle body, port matching/knife edging/removing material and venturi'ing. neil.

near the apex strips steve?
-
the marks are from the scroll oscilating (sp?) :)
-
yep, none near the edges/apex strips thank god! and its still got the tight spot now even though its stripped,i know what the other guy means,it sort of jumps round, and the top timing bit starts going the wrong way :? (no timing belt attatched mind)
-
ah well,i thought it was normal, but after inspecting mine there was a spring broken in an oil seal on the scroll, dont think it was causing the tight spot though :?
-
mine does the same m8,i think? its normal :)
-
thanks m8,just missed your reply before mine.
-
its a bit shit this to be honest. ive asked a few times now for opinions on uprated chargers and for advice regarding what other things would be worth doing at the same time etc... also asking about power and if blah blah charger is worth it over blah blah charger. can anyone tell me where to buy a rebuild kit? might as well have a go my self and port it at the same time. if i fuck it up then so be it. neil.

just looking on pitstops website too, does john? (jmr) have a site? im after an sns chip also,i think? :? cheers.
