funny you say that m8 actually,i noticed the isv buzzing and every few seconds it was clicking loudly,is it supposed to do that? cheers. ps:ive got other problems too at the mo,so you can just tell me it sounds ok if you want :mad: neil.

ok heres what im thinking... anyone got a link to the better thermostats and fan switches? whats the difference? and is there anyone running a g-werks full blend charger,what are your opinions? cheers,neil. :(

thanks blown,it had a new belt on when i changed the water pump as it snapped just as i turned off the engine! :shock: this was a few months ago now,i did check it was still there a bit back and it is thank god! i dont get how the knock can be so intermittent and it still produces good boost,or so i think? cheers,neil.

yeah sounding like it m8,its strange because mine seems to still push 14 psi with a 70mm pulley :? well,it reads 2000 on the mfa which is 14psi i think...

yours does it too then :( its like a loud knock,and you can feel it on the charger casing when it does it! it was rebuilt to stage 2 at jabba around 11-12k ago. i really dont know enough about g60's :cry:

cheers kev,i didnt replace the thermostat at the time of water pump change as they didnt have one in stock. :mad: is the thermostat easy enough to change? and any idea on the knocking charger? :( cheers,neil.

mine feels every bump running 195/45's on 8x16's. roads round here are terrible though :evil: neil.

the temp got to 110 on the gauge today,i pulled over straight away and popped the bonnet. the fan wasnt turning which i thought was strange,but as soon as i knocked off the ignition it came on,im guessing it should do? anyway,the top hoses and heater were seriously hot,but feeling down the side of the rad it was cold (where fan switch is) the bottom hose was cold to. so thats the reason the fan probably wasnt running,i got it home carefully and tried to get the bottom hose etc hot but it wont :( i fitted a new water pump a while ago and it seems to be pumping it round everywhere except the bottom hose. whats the problem guys? :( also :roll: while having it running trying to get it hot,the charger was making knocking noises very intermittently,wtf is going on there? neil. :(

ahh right yeah,ill stick the co machine on it again 8) ill get them part numbers off the injectors too! where is hermitage green gavin? neil. :D

thanks gavin :D i gave it a checking over today and saw something that wasnt right, 2 allen bolts on the plastic charger outlet didnt seem tight,on further inspection they had pushed the metal sleeve through the plastic :shock: and the outlet wasnt fully pulled tight! i stuck some washers on so that the box pulled up nice and tight and it seems the problem has gone :D new problem though :roll: i disconnected the bts and the revs rise?! what does this mean,only the other day it made the revs drop? cheers for the help,neil.

ps:what are these yellow injectors from? a pb engined gti? neil.

cheers m8. the bts seems to be ok,as the revs drop when i disconnect it,any other senders that could cause a problem? how would i go about checking the fuel pressure? by the way the ecu hose is new,1 meter exactly,plugs n cap etc are new. thanks,neil.

alright guys,few questions,thought i may as well stick em all in one topic. 1/where can i buy new boost pipes? how much? or maybe upgraded ones,or if anyone could point me to a good topic that covers this? the one from the charger is all cracked around the jubilee clip but the boost reading on the mfa still indicates around 14 psi,maybe related to below? 2/i seem to have intermittent power :( mostly noticeable on half throttle,where i can feel the car not pulling then it will pull and not pull etc...any ideas? 3/what are yellow top injectors? got them from a m8 and he said all he knows is that they are from a pb engine. any good for the g60? as an upgrade? cheers,neil. :)

not too bad really m8,just had to remove the under dash tray in front of fuse box and the dial surround 8) just gotta be carefull popping em into the dash as they could easily break! neil.

ive never seen the process of replacing the hall sender,i heard of it being done but dont know whats involved sorry m8 :oops: can you not get hold of a second hand dizzy? most people tend too,bit of a risk i suppose? seen new dizzys on ebay for £45ish? which i dont think is too bad really. neil. :)

im really starting to like the rc's 8) looks sh1t hot m8! about the only bbs i like unless its a split with black center. i fitted the air/fuel and voltage gauge today,also in the rain :lol: neil.

i was thinking the same guys :roll: but on further investigation,the vin number is also wrong which is why its showing as a valver i reckon,phew! ive got every mot from new and the vin numbers are all the same and match the one on the car. :D spoke to dvla and they told me to pop a letter in with the v5 explaining the 2 incorrect parts. cheers,neil.
