:( its fecked. i dont even know how to describe the problem,its weird :? started it up today and it ran like crap on tickover,went to rev it and it just died. sort of kept it running while messing with the throttle,the isv was sucking stupid amounts of air and a shit load of smoke was coming out of the rocker breather and oil cap (when took off). it started farting? :? and i dunno,backfiring through the isv,presumably in the inlet manifold too? theres also a loud intermittent tick/click from the inlet manifold? its just feckin weird and it gets worse... while ticking over and doing the farting business/smoking out of breather/isv sucking,it just cleared up :? so i started driving it home,and it just wouldnt go. foot to the floor made it die. please help,im supposed to be going to scotland in it soon,but im just getting depressed by the friggin thing now.... neil. :(

only 3 now,after being clean for a few years... i did have 14 :oops:

cheers guys,feel more at ease now :lol: reason for it is that im a short ar$e and always tend to drive with the sun visors down which i think just looks crap :? but no need now,just didnt want it to look 'boy racer' although an illuminous green,volkswagen sticker right across it would look wickid innit :lol: neil.

opinions on the sunstrip please guys :) i had a red one on the mk1 before and i removed it as i think it was a bit chavvy,but how about the rado? cheers,neil.

Biete hier für einen Kumpel einen Satz Borbet A Alufelgen in der Größe 9x16 Et 15 , welche er auf seinem Corrado G60 gefahren hat ! Die Felgen haben den Lochkreis 4x100 und passen somit auf diverse Fahrzeuge wie Opel ,VW , Mazda, Audi , BMW mit dem selben LK ! Die Felgen wurden schon mal poliert, müssten aber nochmal nachpoliert werden , was ich gegen einen Aufpreis erledigen könnte ! Felgendeckel und Gutachten , ist natürlich auch mit dabei ! Abholung wäre erwünscht, kann aber nach Absprache auch versendet werden ! neil. :oops:

its back on the road now [:D] cant take it above 4k rpm for 3-500 miles to run it in. feels like it pulls well though,just not sure on the solid front mount... anyway,what ya think about the sunstrip? yay or nay? [:$] and the dewipered rear? better engine bay shot [:D]

mmmm,mines just a straight pipe m8. is it actually an rsr then? :? it came fitted to the charger straight from pitstop,the black pipe has a bend in it,but its like it isnt enough. thanks for the help 8) also,did you cut down the rubber boost hose? neil.

aye,will do gavin 8) gonna run it in for 300-500 miles,no going above 3.5/4k rpm,and then give it another service. feels like it pulls well anyway! just cant wait to open it up a bit,and it sounds well strange :lol: dont know if im too keen on the solid front mount either,ive got a couple of noises and i dont know if its the cause or not? neil.

hi m8, i recently replaced the fuel feed on my g60,diffarent i know but... a tip is to cut the old pipe and tightly tape the new one to it,and then you can pull it through the chassis with the old. sorry thats all i know,not having a vr. neil. :)

cheers guys 8) how about the setting up? ive checked the c.o on a gas anyliser and its running a little richer than before,so i reset it. but the tickover is a little low and lumpy? is it just the grease from the charger or sommet? neil.

alright guys. :wink: 1/if an sns chip is fitted the wrong way round,would the car run at all? :oops: may sound a silly question,i just went off a little cutout on the superchip and sns,put them the same way. 2/rsr outlet,do they all touch the rad fan? :? ive had to twist the rubber hose on it to get it to clear,is this normal? and lastly,now ive replaced the charger with full blend/68mm pully/sns stage 5 chip etc,should i reset the c.o and tickover? and timing? cheers,neil. :thumbleft:

got the charger and wotnot back :D psd full blend with 68mm pulley and rsr outlet: and all fitted :D it fired up straight away! ran a bit rough though,im guessing its probably all the grease from the charger going in the inlet? pic of everything fitted back:

the same henny,i dont like the 2nd gear,and the rest feel like theyre just wrong somehow :? ahh :!: i also have a caddy diesel 4t code box that i had in the mk1 ??? 8)

whats the factory quoted top speed for a g60 guys? :) and just to add,im really not a fan of the gearing in em. ive got a passat gt 2.0 16v box sat around with a dodgy 5th gear,wonder if it would be any good? neil.

nothing that would deter someone wearing a balaclava :mad: and just to add,if he hasnt got a little sticker saying that he has cctv,then it cant be used in a court of law,but its all a bit of a grey area tbh... :(

are all the basics ok m8? ignition timing and c.o mixture? to me it sounds like either an air leak or a dodgy injector,maybe a slightly leaky one? not much help,but a free bump :) neil.

not a sticky rear caliper is it? edit:or front even? :? doubt itwould give such crap mpg though? neil.
