Just fitted my angel eye headlights! I also have one of Gavins uprated headlight looms! I know it's day time but I can't see any evidence of the angel eyes working. Is there something special I need to be doing or can you just not see them at all during the day?? Also whats all this I have been reading about them needing manual adjusters? I dont mean LHD to RHD conversion as mine were shipped as RHD. But the manual adjustment? They seem to have some sort of adjustment built in????

This is always the type of discussion that just gets silly as the VR owners will say that: Not knocking you Lee but it's a typical VR owners comment!!!! Then your G60 owners will claim that it's a more aggressive and tunable engine blah blah blah.# I have my G60 that I've spent a fortune on and wouldn't even consider swapping for a VR It's horses for courses!! If you like smooth delivery of power, ideal for motorways, daily driver etc then the VR is for you. If you like tinkering, you like noise aggressions and torque etc etc then the G60 is for you. I know before you all start that this is not the definative guide, but haven't we had this arguement getting out of hand tooooooo many times before anding up with a load of disgruntled Corrado owners and a rift between the 2 types!!

how heavy is a complete vr6 cylinder head????

And now you can't just walk into alot of couriers and send a parcel unless you hold an account with them due to security! As I found out the other day -

HEAVY! -
No. I have a Sharkfin on my Saab 9-3 and it is a Radio and Car Phone Aerial in one. Not sure if it has a GPS reciever as well though. Might have
-
Do bear in mind that the Corrado aerial is amplified! Not sure if this will make a big difference

I would use the Halfrauds trim tape that comes in a roll and is Megasticky and is what I use on both my front and rear number plates

Spookily enough I was vacuuming out the car today saying to myself that I would REALLY REALLY like a brand new carpet set!!! But that if they were availble from the stealers they would be silly money! http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=2089575 This is the link however it is in the USA. Not alot of good for us guys here as shipping would make it too expensive I would have thought! Is there anyway we can get a proper molded carpet kit made in the UK as I'm sure we could get a reasonable interest here to try and make it viable! I don't mind doing a bit of research but if anyone already has some ideas??????????????????????

Your best bet would be to save your money for a while and buy a set of FK Konigsport Coilovers. Then you can choose the height and ride as they are fully adjustable. And as an added bonus it's much much better suspension.

It may not be a completly built in unit but you can hardwire it in like I have with mine then either use the windscreen mount or you can get the no holes dash mount and the ipag holder will screw onto that giving you a very neat mounted solution. As for it sending you the long way round, check your prefences as to the routes it takes you as it usually favours motorways even if the A roads are more direct but a change of the settings overcomes it. If not use the Alternative route feature as that will also change away form such routes to more direct ones. Finally the Tomtom5 upgrade is also a big improvement on these things and with the traffic feature that you subscribe to giving you traffice updates on your route (providing you have an Ipaq that has bluetooth and a phone with bluetooth and GPRS) it makes it I feel better than 99% of other sat nav systems out there (and yes I have had use of alot!)
-
I've got TOMTOM5 on an ipaq and use it interchangeable between my 2 cars. It's BRILLIANT and very up to date. Apparently its the most up to date sat nav in the country

Phnar Phnar!!!!!! I use Halfords Trim Tape. Its about a cm wide and sticks so well when I tried to remove my number plate from my old bumper I had to slowly cut it away.
-
I have the same Guage Pod as that in mine. They are about but still are very rare. I believe there is one on ebay currently for about £30 but will go for lots more than that
-
Hello and Welcome!!!! Hope you have great fun with it

Sat nav and camera detector in one??
Blue_Joe replied to Son of a Beesting's topic in ICE 'n' Secure
But they would be able to see it usually as it needs to be mounted somewhere in line of sight so it can pick up the signal, hence most units are windscreen mounted And I have no real issues with Glare on my Tomtom unit. But you could get no holes dash mount that they use for mobiles and mount you PDA cradle to that. I've looked into doing it myself and it will work. At some point I'll be doing it myself -

Blue_Joe replied to Son of a Beesting's topic in ICE 'n' Secure
The new Tomtom 5 has a speed camera locator option for an additional 69 Euros per year that will tell you of any fixed camera locations you are approaching and also the speed limit it is set to. However it has no radar detector so cant find the mobile ones for you. Although these are apparently going to be made illegal again very soon -
I dont think it looks wrong on an early C at all. I've got one on mine in black and it was a big umming and ahhing decision with me, but sooooo glaad I did now. Look in my members gallery to see what I mean

HHHHmmmm Biggerbigneil Thats not unique - I have for some timme been following the evil black and red look. Black car with almost everything colour coded to the same black (mirrors smoothed and coded, washer jets, aerial base, rear number plate surround etc etc) then Black Leather interior with red G60 and charged up badges outside, red silicone boost and water hoses, black interior mats with Corrado in red. Sorry Fella :(

I ripped the bracket that holds the front engine mount to the engine in half dropping my engine right down and shagging my nice new exhaust!!! Not sure of the extent of the damage yet!!!!

Put some oil in it!!!!! The most common reason for them going into safety mode is that it is very low on oil. Vectra Diesels use approx 1 litre of oil every 1000 miles. Check the oil and top it up. If that doesnt cure it it may have done more serious damage and the dealers or AA/RAC can plug into the computer system in the car and will tell them the fault!

flusted - It's not an RS4 bumper as I have teh RS4 on mine. The RS4 has much straighter lines and the vents in the front of the bumper are a more square shape as opposed to the rounded shape on the outer vents on that bumper. The RS4 also has vents in the side of the bumper. I would post up pics of mine but with the car being black you can't clearly pic out the lines. The bumper in the pic is just an RS bumper

I have fitted porsche Cup 3's to my 4 stud G60 Make sure the wheels you get are all 7.5Jx17 and get them with an ET of around 52mm. H&R then do 4x100 to 5x130 stud adapters, get 25mm ones and the wheels will fill your arches perfectly. See my members gallery!! The adapters aren't cheap though at £250 for the set of 4, but are TUV Approved and made of alloy. Steel ones of that size are far too heavy - avoid them.
