Thanks for the info guys. I think I'll try and get an intercooler and offer it up to see how much space I'll have between the panel and the bumper .I'm also after a 3.5bar fpr, just forgot to mention it in the list  G man you have mail. :D

Right. Can anyone tell me where I can purchase the following-at reasonable prices of course, after all I am Scottish! Lower temp thermostat and fan switch, A good Intercooler/oil cooler, A toothed belt system.Have E-mailed G-werks but I think they're still waiting for castings from thier suppliers or something. and if anyone can give me the part no for the pressed steel panel thats infront of and just below the front subframe that the radiator sits on, I'd be very grateful. Pulled the front bumper off today to be greeted by a pile of rust rather than a panel :( It'll be a good chance to get all this done now, while I'm waiting for the RS4 bumper to arrive

I need help. I know that this topic has been discussed before but I've done a search and just can't find the topic that had the pics of which bolts to remove. There are what looks like 3 bolts in a line, but I seem to remember someone saying that undoing one of these bolts(the centre one I think)will end in catastrophe, but I can't remember which one it is for sure. Anyone got any ideas?

Thanks for the info Majik. :thumbleft: Any other ideas on which i/c would fit(without to much hassle as this will be done by me!)

Hi peeps, hope you all had a good Christmas. Looking for advice here. I have been offered an intercooler from a Peugeot 405 diesel and was wondering what,if any, gains would be made by trying to fit it to my Corrado,in place of the original? I don't think the overall surface area is that much more than the Corrado unit, but I'm considering fitting it right behind the central opening in an RS style bumper so that it gets maximum airflow. Also are there any other considerations to be taken when fitting,or is it a case of just mounting the coller and plumbing it in? P.S. the updated site is looking good.Could do with a bit more colour though :D Thanx in advance.

Thanx m8 :) . The one I have is one single piece.Don't have the part no as it's currently hibernating somewhere at the back of the shed. :D

Would some kind soul with access to this please give me the part no's of the inlet and exhaust manifold gaskets for a 91 G60? The muppets at my local dealers have(I think) given me an inlet gasket and are swearing blind that its the exhaust one, which is the one I need.It doesn't even match up to the holes in the new manifold! Thanx in advance.

For me,it's mostly the rest of my car! :D
-
Can you give me some more details please, like who and where? :)

Anyone know of a company who do these for the Corrado? I've just managed to break mine in about five places trying to remove it.Very good glue these germans use   Would All Smiles do one if I asked them nicely? Or do I take the easy route and buy some c/f effect film and stick that on it instead, hoping that it will cover the cracks in the plastic! Answers on a postcard please :) :)

Where can I get the bumper like the one on the ABT car? Not an RS item so just that bit different!
-
I was going on holiday to Ireland a couple of years ago and decided to drop the car off at star to get the charger done and also chipped and a smaller pulley added. Jim had the courtesy to phone me and tell me that a previous repair to the battery tray had put a hole in the top of the Intercooler and that he would do his best to fix it unless a new I/C was needed. Top bloke, top company. Will defo be taking the car there again. :D

Cool 8) (no pun intended!)

So does that mean your I/C is between the grill and the rad? Won't that restrict the airflow to the rad and increase the risk of overheating? I have looked at the images of the cars with the bumpers off and it seems more sensible to mount the intercooler,if possible, below the rad and behind the bumper, with a cut-out.or an RS bumper. I've been interested in doing this mod as well, but with limited know-how and little engineering experience(and without taking a week off work to get the car to one of the guys here)it looks like I'll have to stick with the original.

Spoiler stops working below freezing!?
Blown replied to CorradoVR6-Turbo's topic in General Car Chat
At least all you'se have spoilers that bl@@dy work! Mine had a small episode of only working when it wanted to and then just flat refused to do anything. I've changed the motor and the control unit(twice)and it didn't do anything,as well as checking the voltage through the manual switch(getting a reading of 12v)and at the motor(again 12v)I'm more stumped than a chopped down rain forest! -
Could be worse.......could be pissed off about the rain Inside...  Sorry couldn't resist........ :D

Good to see the Corrado getting a little bit of recognition-even if it was a very little bit. Could have made more of that feature by using ,and comparing, the other models in the C stable.Maybe thats one for the next TG video/DVD-near classic coupes and desirables! 8) :D

Oh god It's just starting to sink in! As of 12pm tomorrow(Sunday) I will no longer be on the road in my G60  . Thats when the insurance runs out for this year and the car will be put off the road for the rest of the winter and the project will begin. Hopefully will have it back on the go for next may,if all goes to plan. I'll probably be suicidal if top gear show their bit on the Corrado, cos I wont be able to go out in mine! I'll probably pester the life out of the more knowledgeable among you for help when(and they will)things go horribly wrong. Thanks in advance. Apologies in advance too! 8)  8)

Nearly had a trade in on a R-plate Mitsibushi Shogun SWB 3.0V6 sport.Had it for a weekend tryout-swtiched it to two wheel drive(drove the rears)and almost went off the road, which admittedly was wet, with the girlfriend in the car,who on having a go thought she felt like it was driving a bus.So didn't get it. Praise the lord I saw the error of my ways!!!!! What the hell was I on that day!?

Cheers! Its a TSR unit for 8v engines so should fit without too many probs.Might have to get the old tinfoil out though as it doesn't bend quite as sharply as the original,so could be close to the bulkhead :?
