Red=Fast replied to Red=Fast's topic in General Car Chat
Yes you can! I am going to put them up on eBay today! Now you can also order girl shirts a well (swoop neck, tanks top, pretty much any kind of girly t - just PM me for details about the girl shirts if anyone is interested) But yeah, I will post the eBay link as soon as they are back up. -
Just got an email back from TMT. They are more than happy to help us out with a GP for the lights. They said it will be happening in the next 3-4 months because that is when InPro is going to be releasing them. They also said if they get any more info on the lights that they would contact me to let me know the news. So stay tuned for s GB soon enough. =]

It all looks like it’s hooked up right. I made my own kit since getting one from the guys at G-Werks just isn’t cost effective since I am in the US. As for the wooosh noise, it’s coming from the hole on the bottom of the throttle body. It has a butterfly on it that is mechanically tied in the with the throttle body/cable/everything on the throttle body. When you are under full boost, the butterfly on the bottom of the throttle body is closed and when you let off that is the noise. Normally the return line re-circulates the unused boost that is now being let off. As for the ISV reroute here is a link that will explain it all: http://bahnbrenner.com/media/php/catalo ... &catid=110 . Basically, it will just be replacing the filter that’s hooked up to the ISV currently that came with the kit from g-werks. “The BBM ISV reroute kit keeps the boost from bleeding back into the boost return system by routing it back into the intake tract. Increases boost by approx. 2-3 psi and allows a charger with a power pulley to produce it's full potential. Aerospace machine beaded ends for a solid hose connection. No oil blockage or valve cracking pressure losses. Smoother idle and more reliable than the check valve alternative. All hardware and installation instructions included for a turn key kit.” You cant go wrong with it as far as I know... =] Hope all of this helps.

New Corrado styling product. Opinions please.

TMTuning is a great site. My car is "Sponsored" by them. They are super friendly guys over there at TMT in Germany. I have gotten a bunch of stuff from them with no issues at all. -
Try removing the cable and seeing if that helps. I had the same problem right before the throttle cable snapped.

You guys want to see a MK4 jump? Filmed last night (Video)
Red=Fast replied to Red=Fast's topic in General Car Chat
Haha good catch! Yeah the jump is actually split in 2. The actual good jump was taken as the test run. I had 2 of 3 of my cameras rolling at the time. The photos were also taken after the test run. Hence him being lower than in the jump. -

UPDATE: On the way home from work yesterday two things happened: 1. My front grill flew off of my car while I was doing about 80mph. This must be secured better I guess. =P 2. As I was driving I noticed my fuel gauge was going down quite rapidly, I figured I had a gaping hole in my gas tank and this was the end of my Corrados run. My car started sputtering like it does when you are running out of gas, then my RMP's started to drop. I was quite angry just after having to pick up my grill from the side of the freeway. So, then it clicked in my head when my roommate said the car would not run if the alternator was dead. Lone behold, you guys were right and so was my roommate, the alternator just took a couple weeks to kill itself. So now I am going to get the 90Amp alternator. I am going to order it today while I am at work.

My engine has 130k or so on it. I just put in new lifters and my charger was rebuilt to stage 4 spec like 3k ago. My car runs like a champ.

thanks guys for the help. I hope I can get this worked out soon. Do you guys suggest I get a Power Cap for my stereo set up? My interior lights do dim a tiny bit when my stereo is cranked up.
-
Alright, after figuring the issue was just my battery had gone I replaced it. The day I put in the new battery, my battery light in the consol lit up. On my volt gauge I am running a pretty consistent 10v (on a new battery). If I have my stereo on sometimes the power will drop do 8v or so and my stereo will turn on and off then jump back up to 10v (I have a pretty powerful stereo hooked up – Kenwood CD/MP3 head unit, Boston Acoustic speakers all around, and 2 12 inch subs with a 600w amp. Could this be the issue alone? What should I do to help it? I have heard of “Caps”?) What the hell is going on? Someone please shed some light on this for me. Could this be my alternator actually going out this time? At least now I don’t have to jump my car every time I need to start it. Someone please help. -Josh

We were supposed to be filming/photographing our friend jump his MK4 Golf TDI today, but we were rained out. So we made a stop by the parking garage at Stanford University in California and took a few shots. =] Enjoy:
