Hi, I've purchased a leather handbreak gaiter (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/351003404219?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT) but I can't for the life of me fit it! My issue is first of all how to remove the original leather grip, I've read on a few posts that you need to push underneath with a screwdriver and slide the grip off but it doesn't seem to shift and I'm in fear of slicing into my hand. Does anyone have any advice on how to remove what I need to(?) and fit the gaiter please? Thanks in advance!!

Best to go for the flat top bulbs as opposed to round as the round tend to create 'bright spots'

Thanks - headlight back covers (not sure of the technical term), as in the round plastic covers on the back of the headlights.

Just out of interest, can you not have the headlight back covers on when using the looms?

Sorry, I'm referring to an uprated wiring loom, these plug into your headlights - they're not related to your internal headlight switch....

Ah ok, I remember reading to fix this, there is a large relay on one of the chassis legs (passenger side) simply unplug it and insulate the ends.

Have you got an updated headlight loom fitted - as this sometimes happens when these are installed, as earlier Corrados were fitted with 'dim dip'

You're welcome and yes, I forgot the dash grills will come out by prising a flat head screwdriver underneath (carefully!)

Looking good - yes, you need to remove the door cards to replace the speakers, you'll need to remove the following: 2 Phillips screws on the left edge of the card 1 Phillips screw on the right edge Unscrew and remove the plastic lock pin Remove the interior door handle surround (this just slides to either the left or right and pops off) Remove the speaker grill and remove the Phillips screw behind it Prise off plastic cover off door handle pull and remove the 2 Phillips screws behind it. Think that's it!

Got round to replacing my front door speakers with Infinity Kappa 52.9i ones - it was a pretty straightforward swap, no modifications were needed to either the speakers or the car. End results? I'm very impressed - the sound quality is very good considering they're plugged straight into my head unit. I'd definitely recommend!!

Replaced my 2 number plate lights for brighter led ones (one of the originals had blown, so just replaced both!) Replaced my front door speakers with Infinity Kappa 52.9i ones. Straight swap with no modifications and I have to say, I'm very impressed with the sound quality! All done on my driveway this evening, with just a mains floodlight!

Also selling a Scirocco and an old Granada!

Hey, Apologies if this has been discussed before but I've noticed that a high percentage of number plates on Corrado's are 6 characters long i.e K12 ABC, rather than the standard 7. Does anyone know the reason for this - is it anything to do with the registration procedure for cars imported from Germany maybe? Just curious :bonk:
