  1. Hi, I can see on the thread above that some people have an active sub and also a separate amplifier (for additional speakers I presume) my question is, is it possible to 'share' the power cable between the amp and subwoofer - rather than having to run 2 power cables through to the battery? Thanks!
  2. Hey, would you have the links to the front and rear kits you purchased please? Thanks!
  3. Thanks, yes I had him out to fit mine a couple of weeks ago! Just waiting to hear back from him, as only one of the indicators flash when arming/disarming but no biggie!
  4. I'm probably going to remove the dash speakers and just place the tweeters that come with the speakers in there. Although I'm no expert - maybe other members can share what they have done, have they upgraded, removed or kept the dash speakers? Thanks!!
  5. These look like the ones but I'm struggling to find a UK seller on eBay.....tbh I had no intention of putting my old Nokias back in, so didn't mind cutting my original loom :smug: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Car-Radio-Stereo-Speaker-Wire-Harness-Adapter-Plug-Scosche-SHCR03B-Metra-72-6512-/251172592506
  6. I've got some Infinity Kappa 52.9 speakers to replace the door speakers but think I'll wait until the weekend to do them. I don't fancy taking my door cards off with just my front drive security light going on and off as my only light!
  7. A lot of people say it's a waste of time changing these speakers due to the size. Personally I have just changed mine for the Alpines this evening and I disagree, I'm really impressed with the sound! Previously I had the original Nokias in there which were totally shot, so I guess anything was an improvement and I didn't want to start cutting up my parcel shelf! The installation was a breeze, two screws underneath and just push the speakers out from underneath. The Alpines were a direct replacement without the need of adjustments, all you need to do is then cut off the original speaker wire connectors and then either solder or use connectors. All in all a very worthwhile upgrade!
  8. Yes, Alpine even sell them as Corrado speaker replacements: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VW-Corrado-Rear-Hatch-speakers-Alpine-4x6-car-speaker-kit-150W-Max-Power-/111537852654
  9. Hey you mentioned Dremel to fit the Ifinities - are the not a direct fit/replacement? Thanks!
  10. Yes, they came to my house in Kent but cover most of the South (I believe) paid £250 for a Toad AI606 fitted.
  11. Just had a Toad AI606 fitted by Southern Car Security Ltd (http://www.southerncarsecurity.co.uk) - they cover the south of England and I'd highly recommend their work. The fitter was very informative and he did a really tidy job on fitting the alarm.
  12. I would check the relay switch first. The high speed is run directly through the wiper switch, it bypasses the relay. The slow and intermittent power is routed through the wiper/intermittent relay.
  13. Hi, Apologies if this is a stupid question but if I had a Toad AI606 alarm fitted for example - would this connect to my central locking i.e. the doors will unlock when pressing the fob? Thanks!
  14. Totally agree Chuggs, it's as if the Corrado coummunity want it to be a bad car and fetch a low price, I don't understand
  15. Looks like it was these guys: http://www.bba-reman.com/uk/
  16. How scripted is this?! Quite comical!
  17. Hi, would this switch work on an early dash Corrado?

    Tracker

Yes, you would need a power source, one option is that some car stereos have a USB input on the rear, which you could run a cable from...

    Tracker

I know a lot of people use old iPhones on PAYG - hide it somewhere and then use Find My Friends as the tracker. That way there is no yearly subscription charges...
  20. Thanks - I've just tried again but it's not moving, don't want to pull it it hard incase the two wires come out of the plug?! Yes, I did test that earlier when I replaced the pipes and I'm getting a good jet of water, I also tried putting a pin in the nozzles. Just odd that both aren't working, must have been some cr@p in the pipe that's blocked both nozzles
  21. So,I still haven't resolved my windscreen washer issue! I've replaced the pump, cleaned out the reservoir, replaced all the pipes and joins, so the only thing left has to be the jets. Can someone advise on how I remove please? I can see that there's a little clip to push in so that you push the jet head out(?) but how do I remove the plug that goes into them, do they simply pull out? Thanks!!
