  1. Fair does that sounds awesome! Looks pretty bloody smart too 8) 8) [/envy]
  2. I like that, looks mean! Wonder if they will do a silly powered one? Probably not!
  3. Th Alfa, does look rather nice, but going on the experience my dad had with his saab, I'd go for that anyday. He had a 9000 CSE from new for 3 years, did 112k in it in that time and the only thing that went wrong was one of the heated seat stopped working, which is bloody good going. He changes his car every 3 years, as he does intergalactic mileage, and he's had; from current car backwards; Audi A6 3.0V6 TDI Avant BMW 530 Sports Peugeot 406 Coupe 3.0 V6 Saab 9000 CSE Turbo Renault Safrane 3.0 V6 Citroen XM 3.0 V6 Renault 25 GTX ....etc The most reliable of the above being the Saab (can't really judge the Audi yet as he's only had it about 9 months). The Pug was a bit crap, and so was the BMW So I rest my case...... get a Saab /2p

    Grrrrrr.....

My bloody car exhaust is really pissing me off!   I think I get it right, then it moves slightly and starts catching on the fuel tank heatshield. Then I adjust it, and then it moves and catches on the fuel pump heatshield, so I adjust it again, and its all good, but its blowing from the join after the CAT, adjust again using some exhuast sealant now the bloody thing is blowing from joint between the CAT and downpipe. Its never been right since it was itted by Demon Tweeks over two years ago. I fookin hate it, its doing my head in!   Does anyone else have such issues with getting the exhaust to fit properly? Its a Magnex stainless (which I did have fitted with a Supersprint De-CAT pipe but I've taken that off, cos that made the fit worse).
  5. There are some wiring diagrams for a SLC VR6 halfway down the first page of this thread if that is any help!
  6. Ello STORM 2! Well, can't believe I missed this! I've currently got hodgkinsons clocks (arrived yesterday) as he is having issues with his! His are VR clocks too, so I might be able to shed some light on what the problem is. If I make progress with his, I could look at your as well if you like?
  7. Goods skills that man, one of my favourite C's to be honest! :afro:
  8. Cheers dude That would leave me with 8 normal centres then
  9. Integrated dude! see here for more details I'll have a look at that now!
  10. Right, finished the custom shift light that we've been developing (which will be available very very soon), but now we need a new project! Here are some of our ideas so far... Full programmable management (big, big job!) Boost controller....calling you turbo nutters! Turbo timer (although most good alarms will do this!) What other things are people wanting in the embedded systems kinda thang??? Something that requires electronic controlling?? Cheers
  11. when I got new leads from Wires4Cars in the US, I ordered ones without that pick-up, and when I took my car to see Vince, he said that I needed it as its used by the ECU for the detection of knock (in conjunction with the knock sensor). My ECU was retarding the timing without that pick-up connected, so I'd say you need it (Vince says so too!!)
  12. You could try Fabricage in Harston on the A10 (I think)? They make roll cages, so I should think they've got means to bend 3" pipes
  13. Superb! Cheers dude, I'd not even looked under the car yet, so wasn't sure where the connector was. Thanks
  14. The same applies on the 9a with KE Jetronic. The pick up lead is for the knock sensing capability of the ECU. I got some new leads from Wires4Cars in the US, that didn't have that pick-up and fitted them without it. Had problems with the ECU thinking the engine was knocking and retarding the timing. Re-fitted the pick up from my original leads onto the new ones, disconnected and reconnected the battery, and hey-presto, fixed the problem (all this was curtosy of Vince, after a service at Stealth!!)

    CORRADO 16V

Is it a 2.0l 16v or a 1.8l? Oh, and Welcome to THE forum! 8)
  16. Can anyone tell me where the lambda probe wiring actually goes on a 2.0l 16v? I guess directly to the ECU? Is there anything I should know before trying to do this job, like any particular method of doing it, or is it as simple as feeding the new probe down from the ECU to where it is monuted in the exhaust? Cheers
  17. I did indeed! Took me ages! Well worth it though I think. 8)
  18. Got some new artsey piccies after a 3 stage meguirs treatment today
  19. Ney worries matey, but a lot of people like the smoothed look. The corrado doesn't suit any big body kits or the like (I reckon), so smoothed or OEM+ seems to be the prefered style. Quite like the idea of a rat-look, mind you, definately not been done often before (if ever!!)
  20. Exterior Lower on coilies, ARB's etc Either 9 x 16s for the phat look or 8 x 17s Debadged, smooth handles, remove side strips, smooth bumpers Full respray, tinted lights front and rear (crystals, all red, smoked) Interior Leather recaros, or porsche seats with other leather Late spec dash, etc Quality audio install The list is endless...... Not forgeting... Full G-werks treatment for the engine
  21. It would cost less if you are willing to use MegaSquirt. Realistically you could have it setup on a car for as little as £300! All software is open source too! Continual improvements being made as well, including Dual map capability, which is good if you want to run NOS or Water injection! Use Wideband lambda, and it will pretty much map itself within 95% of the absolute best! quick session on the rollers to get that last 5% and your done. Freind of mine recknos you could get it mapped in a day using the wideband!
