I'll grab myself a set of e30 arms then on Monday when the shops are open. Cheers fellas
-
Cheers chaps, new wiper motor fitted and wipers are working as they should. Next thing is to change them to something which will clear the screen sufficiently 👍
-
Recently my wipers have been getting stuck and the motor is whirring away to no effect. I'm completely stumped on how to remove the wiper mech to see the problem. There's no room to manoeuvre so surely something has to come off before I tackle the removing the mech.

I'm thoroughly excited to say that on Monday I will be picking up my new C. After selling my 2.0 16v a month or two ago and regretting it ever since I've managed to grab myself a 1994 VR6 [emoji1] . Thoroughly excited for the 2 hour drive back from collecting it. Fingers crossed it makes it no problem.

Car is back up for sale if you're interested make me an offer but if you're going to ask 30 different questions then tell me you'll pick it up only to not turn up then don't bother. SOLD -
Car will run fine with it removed however I'm sure its needed so anyone know of a place to get the new sensor

I've cleaned the isv, checked the temp sender on the radiator to no effect. I have been told by a friend that he had similar problem on his motorbike and that was caused by a loose throttle body. I have now removed the throttle to give it a good clean. If this doesn't fix the problem what else could it possibly be? Thanks for the help so far

Forgive me for sounding dumb but where can I find it
-
Yes forgot to put that in my original post but yes it is dry I've currently just got the standard air filter.
-
Haha I guessed that but its been sat in the dry for 3 weeks now and I've managed to sit there keeping it running enough to warm it up in an effort to dry it out. But what could it be that is wet still?
-
Before Christmas I went through a large puddle and my C starting running very rough and dying if no throttle was used I managed to nurse it home. Weeks later I have changed the plugs, cleaned HT Leads, dizzy cap and rotor arm. And its still not running right. Basically it'll fire up fine then it'll idle for a bit then when you touch the throttle it'll shoot up then drop back down and die if you don't keep the throttle on. Also if I keep the throttle open it won't stay at the revs instead it will go from 2k-3k then back 3k-2k even though I'm not changing the throttle. I've checked that all the plugs are sparking. Any ideas?

NO LONGER FOR SALE- Decided to just keep it due to the amount of timewasters For sale is my beloved 2.0 16v Corrado it has: 10 Months MOT New radio with aux/cd/iphone connectivity and uprgraded pioneer speakers fitted Respray in Candy White earlier this year New rear wheel bearings fitted Powerflow S/S exhaust Toad full closure alarm Brand new legal pressed plates that I never got round to fitting Large folder full of service history dating back to the 90's Just done over 102000 miles and will go up through daily use. Got it MOT'd with only one advisory (Battery Tray) and even got a comment on how good the paint looked from the tester

I've found an AUM 1.8T engine and gearbox just round the corner from me within my price range. What gear would I need to get this into my C? Thanks for the help so far everyone
-
Only thing I'm hesitant about doing an engine swap such as R32 or 20Vt is having to tell my insurance. Due to me being young my insurance certainly isn't cheap and I couldn't afford to not tell them about the swap in case of an accident and they were to check engine numbers.
-
Thanks I'll look into the cams, I've been thinking about FI and I'll probably go down that route in the future
-
Mmm so many options to look into, is reboring the engine and placing bigger cylinders in an option along with the ABR cams?
-
Both of these options sound like a lot of fun. Think I'll go with the 1.8 20vT as they seem more readily available and cheaper too. Thanks Chaps expect to see a winter build thread for my C after I've put a diesel into my T25 pickup. Out of curiosity MZpog what upgrades did you do to your valver?
-
Just had look on eBay at it. Impressive bit of kit but over 250 miles away.
-
No car in particular I suppose I just want a faster car and refuse to sell my C to fund one ;) I have thought about selling it but I couldn't, I learnt how to spray cars with it, how to install speakers etc its too personal. I'm not that worried about the aspect of D.I.Y, I'm a 1st year engineering student at college so have plenty of time on my hands and access to welders etc. But is it possible to fit?
-
Hi everyone basically been looking at a few engine conversions for inspiration for a winter project on my Corrado. The thought of an R32 in my corrado sounds like the stuff of dreams to me. The thing is everyone seems to have done this to VR6's so is it possible to do to a 2.0 16v? And what budget am I looking at for D.I.Y? Also suggestions for a good engine conversion to upgrade the Corrado to match something modern.

Thanks I've got the sender coming tomorrow
