-
the ones that work in pairs or more are known as specs they work out the average speed between points. there are a load on the m6 on the thelwall viaduct 40 limit quite amusing watching rep racers slow down for the camera then speed up inbetween havnt heard of anyone getting done by them yet though

if you are coming to the all types meet on the weekend i do have a spare spoiler mech that came with a replacement boot i bought. if its not the control system and lubricating it dosnt help you might be able to repair it using parts from that i am pretty sure it still works, manual overide definately does also got a spare spoiler (a bit tatty just needs a re-spray) and a few bits of cream coloured boot trim if anyone wants them

nope much older probably the same age as the car 1991 and allmost identical to the bbs rm i think

please no sarchastic answers like "wheels are those round things on each corner of your car" i bought my c from a garage in slough a few months ago (drove all the way from wrexham to see it) the only thing that is bothering me is the wheels at first i thought they where bbs but they did not look as well made they are similar design to the standard bbs wheels multi spokes with center nut but they are actually tsw's. two of the plastic center nuts are missing so i need to know what they are, to get replacement caps the guy at the garage told me that the original owner had them fitted by the dealer when he bought the car new probably b.s. any ideas will take some pics when my camera batteries are charged

yep i would agree with that ......its not really the bolts that support the weight of the car its the hub in the center it must be a nice snug fit inside the wheel centre ring, the bolts are not designed to take that much sideways force so i would seriously get the rings first or ssccrrrreeeeeeeeeechhhhhh baaaaannnnggg bye bye corrado :( and you wouldnt want that to happen really i only say that because i have seen it happen to a mates fiat tipo 2L 16v very messy he ended up in hospital for a couple of weeks with a fractured pelvis, and bits of trim plastic in his arm, wheel bolts broke car span and another car hit him. not nice
-
they did say it wouldnt be covered by full warranty though because it would be fitted to a corrado and not a ricemobile............ confusing
-

the sub dosnt replace the spare. it is the spare  after a while of looking around at different sub designs i couldnt see what i wanted i thought of making a fibreglass sub that fitted in the spare wheel space but then i thought why not use the wheel to form the structure of the sub, i measured the internal volume of the alloy using water and it was allmost perfect for a 10" driver (its not a space saver by the way) :) i simply made two disks of 20mm mdf one for the sub (vibe pretty cheap and they cope with a lot of abuse, and one for the other side of the alloy, they sit just inside of the rim and are clamped together through the wheel with 6mm threaded bar. i used 6mm bar so i could use the spanner from the c tool kit to disasemble if i needed the spare. the disks are backed with dynamat and the wheel and tyre seem to deaden vibrations well.
-
cheers but i have allready done that when i chaged them following advice on the forum :) it does feel more like something rubbing, the vibration echoes through the car quite a lot someone said it could be a wheel bearing but i have jacked it up and there dosnt seem to be any play in them. i sounds the same as when the exhaust was knocking on the rear suspension beam when i first had the car and i carried passengers in the back but i have checked that too it hasnt moved since i re adjusted it with advice from the forum again :) plus i have replaced the hangers which had no effect. you can feel the viration through the steering wheel quite a lot as well recently had wheels balanced too still no effect gettin confused now hope its not something thats going to go bang

the track box also has all the features youve mentioned and the internet location system is included free for the first 3 years not too expensive after that either you can also set a virtual ring fence (if it moves out of an area it will alert you by text) and you can set waypoints (alert on arrival) however they are not currently thatcham approved as they where originally meant for industrial equipment and HGV you can view a basic demohere.... http://www.actiontrack.co.uk/ p.s. im not trying to sell these firstly they are not availiable to the public yet and secondly i have plenty to fit allready

i wonder if anyone can help i have a 91 g60 only had it a few months. i have just replaced all three engine mounts as the rear one broke loose and the engine was trying to escape every time i accelerated. but a couple of weeks later i have started getting vibration through the chassis under hard acceleration at first i thought it might have been the exhaust rubbing but i have checked it and there is plenty of clearence it also comes and goes, when it happens if i let off the throttle and then quickly re apply it the vibration stops seems to do it more when hot. [edit - decapped]

oooohhh shiny

i actually fit tracking systems we do one called trackbox same size as a mobile but it uses gps accurate to a couple of meters and communicates using encrypted text messages uses a web based map system to locate your car or it can send latitude and longitude of its possition to your mobile they are not currently availiable to the public but will be soon at around 299 quid with fitting included i think. i will let people know soon and will try and hastle the boss for a forum discount 8) very simple to fit may be availiable as a diy install kit as well. will keep you posted

thanks i will put some more photos on tomorrow of head unit and screen and i will try and draw up a design for the sub should be at the all types show on the weekend. can chat there my car is the one with the centre caps missing on both back wheels
-
sorry  this is the first couple of times i have used the forum thanks for the tip 8) yes the boot is totally flat the middle section is hinged to give access to the amp dvd changer cd changer and power cap oh and the spare wheel i will post some better pics soon i have actually used the spare wheel to form part of the structure of the sub by clamping a disk of 20mm mdf to the top and bottom of the spare alloy using 6mm threaded bar to clamp it together so if i need to use the spare i can use the 10mm spanner from the tool kit to dsisasemble it makes a pretty strong enclosure
