  1. looks like i have got hold of some inpro's elsewhere, but thanks for looking.
  2. Im after a pair of inpro or sonar headlights, don't care if they are LHD black or chrome. Let me know what you have and how much you want.
  3. Just ordered a twin camera HD dash cam, has one camera built in to it and a tiny remote one to mount in the rear screen, so if it ever happens again at least I've got the evidence, just wish i had bought it before the crash.
  4. They actually valued it while i was on the phone to them, the girl i was speaking too said they couldn't find a match to it in glasses guide, and then said she was looking on pistonheads website, luckily she was looking at some of the higher priced ones with lower miles. Im picking up a screen on saturday so hopefully back on the road soon.
  5. just looking for a windscreen now, problem is they cancelled the insurance as soon as they wrote it off, i cant get it re-insured until its been MOT'd and the screen is cracked so i need to get hold of a second hand screen.
  6. got all the bits i need now apart from a windscreen, so this can be locked now thanks.
  7. It looks like i might be getting all the bits i need this saturday, fingers crossed.
  8. yeah cant do any harm, i am willing to travel long distance if the bits are really good, and depending on price. ---------- Post added at 10:04 PM ---------- Previous post was at 10:00 PM ---------- yeah i have seen it about a couple of times, i can usually drive 1000 miles in a week and only see 1 corrado, although driving home a few weeks ago found myself in a queue with 2 other corrado's in the middle of wrexham.
  9. i'm near Brymbo, might have seen you around a couple of times, keep seeing a white 16v and a red VR but i'm usually in the van.
  10. I'm after an early offside (drivers side) wing, tornado red would be great, but any colour would be fine as long as its straight with no dents or filler. also need an early front bumper, again tornado red would be great, i do have one in alpine white that i bought off ebay but it turned out to be a bit of a mess when it arrived. an offside front indicator, early type, very small cracks or scratches might be acceptable. a bonnet, dont really care if early or late, tornado red or black prefered but anything will do as long its straight and free fom rust or filler, willing to travel long distance for the right one. let me know what you have got and how much you want. thanks.
  11. Update:- the insurance have finally paid out, they gave me £2000 minus the excess and buy back so not too bad considering its done 180k, i picked all the bits up last friday in tornado pink and stripped all the bent bits off yesterday, and apart from the wing and bonnet there is surprisingly little damage, although the lower rad support panel was completely rotten which i was expecting as i bought a spare a few months ago, just need to get it booked in for paint, also using it as an excuse to renew all the bushes, swap the coilovers, fit new exhaust mounts, and fit a slim fan to the oil cooler.
  12. Just had a heart stopping email from the insurance company, to say they have declared it as an uneconomical repair, and that they have arranged for a salvage company to pick up the vehicle! Phoned them straight away and they have cancelled the collection luckily, so i still just need to wait for an offer from them.
  13. Great thanks, just need to keep searching for parts now. Just won an early slam panel on ebay, and luckily its in glasgow where im working all next week. the assessor has been and taken photos, checked the tyre tread, mileage and VIN number so just need to wait on the inevitable insulting offer from the insurance company, lol
  14. Will fitting late front arches mean i will also need late arch liners? good to know the rears are the same though.
  15. My insurance have arranged for someone from a local garage to come and assess it tomorrow at 2:30, so things seem to be progressing quicker than i expected. As soon as i got it home i covered all the damage in bin bags because i just couldn't bear looking at all the bare metal. Even my boss has told me i can take any time off i want to get stuff sorted as he has just spent a shed load of cash restoring a mk2 cavalier SRI he had when he was younger so he understands my attachment to my car.
  16. Cheers anyway, it looks like its going to be easier to get a pair of late front wings instead of 1 early one, going to get a late bonnet tomorrow night anyway, not that bothered about keeping it 100% original as i don't really intend to ever sell it. Does anyone know if the rear arches are any different for early and late? just wondering if it would look a bit odd having late front wings and early rears?
  17. Is it an early drivers wing you have? If so let me know how much you want and i should be able to sort out collection as my company usually has engineers up your way.
  18. Really sorry to see that, yeah once the sides have creased like that its game over. Make sure the person you where where shunted into doesnt claim off you, they should be claiming of the guy with the range rover, as should all others involved, a similar thing happened to me in a works van years ago when a merc slammed into the back of me at about 60mph on the M62 when i was queing for an exit, the insurance of the car i was shunted into initially tried to claim off my works insurance and it took a while to convince them to claim off the merc at first they tried to say i should have left more space in front so i shouldnt have been able to be shunted into him, but when i showed them the photographs of the skidmarks and the report from the police which stated i had been shunted forward at least 10ft they eventually went after the merc. Good luck getting things sorted, and dont take any crap from the insurance company.
  19. no damage to the radiator or engine at all, the mocal oil cooler had come loose but thats not damaged either. yeah i have often looked at getting a DVR as you can get ones that record in front and behind for about £50 now, will definately get one ordered once all this crap is sorted out
  20. After just speaking to my insurances legal cover team, i have decided to get it assesed by the garage and just let them write it off, pay me the write off value then buy it back, which they have promised me in writing i will be able to do, the parts wont cost me that much but the painwork will cost a fair bit so hopefully the payout will cover it. I skidded to a stop a split second before she hit me and the road was covered in mud from the nearby farm, so according to the copper who attended there was nothing either of us could have done and it will just go down as split responsibility, by the sound of it each of our insurance companies will pay 50% of the other parties claim. What im ****ed off about was her reluctance or inability to get onto the grass verge like i did. Freinds of mine have been involved in similar accidents before and its been impossible for them to argue their case. Its worth bearing in mind almost any head on crash on a single track road will result in a 50/50 verdict, i know i will stick to main roads in future.
  21. I dont really have anything against people who drive big 4x4's as long as they take into acoount something that big and heavy is going to take longer to stop and is actually capable of getting up on to a grass verge to avoid a crash, i live at the top of a really steep long hill and can fully understand why some people need a 4x4 in the winter, but it still annoys me when people use the size of the vehicle to bully other road users or just drive like tw@ts. Wullie, yeah that is a depressing sight, nice to see it got sorted though. i have just got off the phone with the insurance company and they said they are happy for me to just get all the bits and sort the repairs out myself, it will just go down as me not making a claim, i have fully comp cover with legal cover, protected no claims, and courtesy car cover if i need it, but to be honest i just want to fix it as quick as possible.
  22. How much would the driver side front indicator be posted to north wales, and also the driver side front wing? Thanks.
  23. yeah i would appreciate that, although i dont really want to start getting all of the bits i need yet, just in case i cant repair it for some reason, i just dont trust insurance companies. i already have a bumper, and bumper brace, although its alpine white, and a pair of headlights, will just have to wait and see what i can sort out with the insurance.
  24. nice to know i've been missed lol yeah i havent been on here much at all recently, too busy with work and other stuff. its a real kick in the balls as i had just got a decent tax rebate and was going to be spending it on getting the paint on the roof sorted and the windscreen replaced, (still having problems with rust and water leaks after RAC winscreens bodged it) i was booked in to go and see the bodywork guy tomorrow afternoon, and had just ordered all the bits to give it a full service, engine mounts and some other bits. and i would have been updating my gallery with the progress. not going to let it get me down, as much as i love my car there are more important things in life (although not many)
