cheers henny - if my passenger door and ignition are fine and i just want new boot and drivers door can i order them to match my key? trouble is my ignition key isnt original vw - only the drivers door one!

Is it possible to retro fit vr6 or 2.0 16v digital clocks to my 1800 16v?

(Not a good idea if you can't unlock the boot with a key - cos if the battery dies you're screwed ... ) where did it say the boot lock was not working :lol: it didnt but i cannot get into boot with either key, i can however use ignition and glovebox and passenger door all with same key and one key for drivers door... even tho i hav stripped of door cards and they appear to be original doors mayb someone just replaced the locks?

cheers dude - would i be right in guessing u mean lhd drivers side? and you reckon the loom should be in the doors and i jus plug it in? if not i need someone who has stripped car who knows where it plugs into the fusebox or similar?

cool - i have the loom and regulators from a corrado and the ecu and 2 switches that i think are from a mk2 golf?

do i have to take off door card or cud i prise the button off? btw andi the forum looks so fresh n so clean!

My central locking works fine - well in its own way, i can unlock all locks/catches from drivers lock (both doors, boot and petrol cap) but from the passenger side it unlocks only itself? is that normal? when locking or unlocking using passenger door i am sure that it makes some sort of noise like the central locking mechanism is working but it doesnt.

Drivers one works fine - passenger one doesnt? Any fuse or relays to check - possibly wires between door and car?

I have bought some second hand electric window regulators and loom - now have some switches... how do i go about fitting these to my 1990 1800 16v? Do i need an ecu? I have 2 switches that i wanted to fit on the centre console - not in the door cards!

cheers mite have a look at the boot one... if i mess it up it will still open with central locking as i dont hav key at moment!

Can someone please tell me what i would need and how to change all the locks on my car as i currently have more than one key... Wud i just need the barrels from both doors, igniton and boot? finally - rough market price? new available?

Is there one available for the corrado 16 valve? who by? where from? how much? OR would it be possible to use a mk2 golf item?

HENNY You are a star didnt think it would b long before you reply - im having problems removing the plate/bracket over the pump - i have taken off the 4 nuts and the bolt that runs through bottom but its that area that wont come free? almost like one end is held in with a sleeve or something? i cant get in there to see tho?

Actually got round to change the water pump today (car been off road a while...) Taken alternator off - next do i take the plate off then the pump? i dont want to take too much off and the golf haynes manual isnt overly clear - sorry i am a novice - HELP PLEASE... only hav daylight hours to complete! :? :(

LOL... thanks guys.. after i removed the black plastic ducts (brake cooling?) i saw the nuts and figured what was what... came off so easy then - im a real novice mechanic but surely others must agree its not obvious at all as to what bolts are for what... when i first saw them i jus thought they looked a bit heavy duty jus to hold bumper on! All the front end is off... slam panel - bumper - passenger wing - headlights - bonnet... will have to show photos of work - so much to small after such a lil prang... bonnet barely damaged - it sucks! :(

How do i remove bumper??? How do you get to the bolts to drop it off the bracket?

Have to fit new front wing, i think im right in errr thinking that everything just unbolts but what sort of sealant do i use to stick wing back on with... well not stick it on but u know what i mean????

Zender turbos? How much do they go for and what sizes? I know they come in 15's but i think they would look too small for a corrado and 16's would suit better? Anyone got any or seen any for sale?

hmmmmmmmm... i think i will stick to stock for now!

Cheers mate... i thought that mite be possible with the headlights - if so i could buy a new set of lenses from GSF and fit them to my old units?!? or do the new lenses not come with the surround. As for indicators any idea of new price? i broke one when i broke me bumper :( btw nice pic in PVW this month! 8)
