What is the difference between early and late spec lights? I have an early corrado - what would i need to convert bumper lights to later flush fitting units... are the lights different themselves or is is just the bracket? Whats different with headlights? Also are the indicator lenses sold seperately? if so where from and how much?

jus to be a pain in the arse... where are the bypass valves... without looking i dont know what hoses enter the bulkhead to the car and from where... do they come from the coolant tank itself or from the engine then back into coolant tank? Im guessin it mite have something to do with them as i ran the car without any coolant for a few weeks... (having to top up water almost daily cos of leak before new water pump) so crap/rusty crud from rad etc etc mite hav blocked them - can they be cleaned/serviced? or do they need replacing? price? part number... errrrrr thats me about done for now! :oops:

cheers - didnt realise it was related to that - it does select all the different areas (ie. screen - feet - face etc) and it does change between cold and ambient temp... so by sorting the cables i would increase the range of movement over the flaps and therefore control the temp?

STILL NEED HELP?!?! why will my heater not blow hot air??

Very nice - cheers guys... Im a fan of the twisted five spoke (split or std rim) and design 90's but agree the latter arnt that great on corrados - look great on mkII's and mk1's even moreso...

Fan swapped and all four settings work fine but i hav only cold air or when set on hot i jus get ambient temp (whereas same as in car temp - ie. if its warm in car it circulates warm or if its cold jus circulates that...) Is this a prob with heater matrix?

YAY it fits!!! :D :roll: :D lol Supercharged, well i had an order from gsf and it was £4.50 +vat so about just under a fiver... and thanks all (godskitchen, Henny) it was the right one! not so strange that it was not listed under corrado parts on GSF but under golf mk2 as u both sed... like many other bits no doubt!

Ordered one off GSF a standard non lockin golf one?!?! only £5 if wrong... lol (also eventually ordered water pump and thermostat... now i need to drive me car again soon!)

lost it... guess careless at petrol station... but im sure i put it back on! anyway... the one listed on GSF says locking... the standard one just twist and clicks - can you buy replacement ones or do i hav to pick up a second hand one - any other models the same? golf? jetta? passat? etc?

There are alot of different factors that give us our opinions by the look of it... most of them a lot simpler than all the technical talk (although cheers guys... i feel like i hav learnt something... :) ) these factors seem to be (some quite obviously and are not limited to) the cars we drive and have driven and the cars we can afford to own/run/drive... Personally i own a measly cack 4pot 1800 16v which i think if i read right isnt even a corrado? just a pretender? but im sure mine was released before any other... :lol: but if money was less of an object i would have bought a vr6 and hopefully tried to manage to run one! y? Probably cos its the real and original big power C the way VW intended - oh and the aforementioned exhaust note! Right now im makin the most of what i hav got and making it a little more mine with some personal touch's (better known as repairs :roll: ) but whats next? Engine transplant? Buy a VR6? Buy something new? i dont know... but its most likely to be a decision made on money (arnt they all? NO? if not then can i have some of ure money please? :lol: ) at the end of the day its not simply about which is better - more which is suited to the owners likes/needs and most of all WALLET! personally i would like to take the 1.8T route because my engine is getting tired and i have had a few turbo cars before that i loved. Also i could keep my C and convert it over time... or at least pick up parts over time (where as spare money allows...) do i have a point? not really... JUST MY OPINION! oh and for the record i dont think i could say either is better, also i dont think FI is cheating... as a final note... its been a long wknd and forgive the babbling... havnt reread me post cant b arsed - point n laff at any mistakes?!?! :mrgreen:

lol... cheers guys - i had a leaky old fiesta track car that was put back on road (i kno i kno... it was a fun cheap lil go cart tho...) had a dodgy window seal and i stripped all carpet out and the undercarpet sound deadening stuff turned to slime... :pukeleft:

Series of problems... When i got car the blower only worked on level four (old style dial and slider panel btw) and then during operation it started to make a loud buzzing noise (worn bearing?) anyway i hav replacement fan and i know it sits underdash in passenger footwell, other than the lower shelf what else needs removing to get to it (how does the casing open? That should stop the buzzing noise... how do i get it to work on ALL four speeds? And just to make matters worse... the air doesnt appear to be hot when fan is used!

DOH! forgot to mention (and after reading a few more threads on a search...) NO SUNROOF!

still wanting to get some porsche wheels... undecided on old school or new scholl yet but wud like some help with fitments... ie. what fits? Maximum width front and rear for 16's and 17's (on a standard height car - but will be lowering on coilovers - nothing silly though!) without arch mods.

in the rear passenger footwell? any ideas? seems to hav gone now even though we hav had more heavy rain... havnt left any bottles there... just smelt like water and wasnt damp in any other footwells!? jus possible window or door wasnt shut properly and let some rain in? jus enquiring incase it returns...!

Im with everyone else on this... amazing mod - totally individual... outrageous concept but still classy! with a20 lee on get the pro job done (unless u experienced) cos i cant see all those curves being easy to trim! good luck and keep the pics coming

were those recaros standard or an option in germany? never seen them in a car over here but im new to the vee dub scene!

Sorry if it seems im asking the same question over... but i need to keep both early units and buy new early lens or buy late units and fit late lenses?

Only ask because the glass on mine looked different (possibly different makes? or jus one had been replaced n lookd brighter in glass colour?) and now i need to replace a broken passenger one. If i bought a pair of late ones they should both fit and look right on my early lights?
