over the last 1000 miiles Ive been getting 22mpg - mixture of motorway and town driving but mostly Aroad/motorway Oakley - not sure if unplugging will reset the codes mate might need vagcom to do it. If you do disconnect the batt just pop the negative off - no need to do both
-
was it throwing a vagcom error? consumption is awful on my VR and this may be a cause. alternatively my heavy right foot may also be to blame ;)
-
i just pulled the bottom of the lever - just one thing. nothing hidden or anyything
-
i think i was able to do it with my finger. was very simple really.
-
i pulled the clip away too rather than push it in and it came off no problem.
-
my point is they arent 11k. 7-8k for a decent 3.0 M3 will do just fine.
-
11k? you can get an M3 from 4.5k up mate.
-
auto - ewww ;) i had the 318ti (same engine) - good going car alright.
-
to be fair I know a few lads who have driven both and reckon the evo isnt *that* much better than the 3.0. Ive drove an M3 GT and wasnt that impressed to be honest. turbos really are the way forward in my book
-
Id expect its not std if you need a remap :)
-
here is all you need to know: http://www.corrado-club.ca/ubb/ultimate ... =000085;p= Im doing something different tho with some italian lights :)
-
i think mine is big time off to be honest. myself and mikevr6 are both under std power but running mid 160s to the wheels. I wouldnt worry about it
-
jesus that aint good :(

more like X00 miles ;)

car doesnt need serviced as Ive done it all (leads/plugs/filters) but i want the stamp and all the old ones filled in again :) basic oil might be a plan alright. stealth isnt an option due to my raddo not being able to cross the irish sea :D Will be selling the car in the new year so dont want to spend big bucks. wedding is in June and everything needs paid from Jan onwards then its S3 after the wedding :D

been considering getting my corrado a main dealer big service. Im not sure what way the services work on the raddos but basically i want it for the history as my car hasnt had a VW service for 20k miles. this will mean that only one is missing from it being full history which im sure most people would be happy with. just looking for rough prices on the various services for the C. cheers -pablo

x2 if he is petty enough to leave bad feedback reply saying you offered a full refund and he didnt accept and do the same to him.

missed that there was a page 2 and the honeycomb thing was already posted by coolrado Anyway - IMHO get powerflow to weld the salvaged cat and a new trim on. nice easy fix with no axles off :)
-
mate if your car passes MOT with NO cat then even with a duff cat it should be cool. look down through the pipe and you should see light through the honeycomb (minus a bit cos of the little kink in the cat) if you cant then its blocked up :)
-
seen TT cats talked about do they bolt one? I can sell you a fiat coupe turbo cat if you want :)
-
magnex prob wont include a cat mate. anyways - if its powerflow then try this (assuming you are happy with the exhaust) get tailpipe cut off and a more suitable one welded on. get a silencer put in where the cat goes if its passing emmissions. or AFAIK powerflow do a hiflow cat for 100-150 quid. might be worth a shot.
