  1. emax - you have now entered corrado legend :D
  2. the ones he looked at have 100k+ ;)
  3. no nothing to verify miles mate but the seats etc are in very good condition which isnt a bad indication of mileage. I bought the car off a good friend of my mates so Im happy to know it came from a good background. there are no engine mods mate bar the panel filter but I have a std filter too. with elephant you are looking at about 50-60 quid more (ish) to declare it lowered and alloys. no hassle tho if it isnt for you it isnt for you :)
  4. mate - 1996 vr6 75k - 5 grand :) Ive a thread in the cars for sale section :) http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic.php?t=12924
  5. stonechips can cause the laquer to lift. same on the 106s mirrors :(
  6. snapped this in the carpark :) anyone on here?
  7. my fiat dealer told us when doing the cambelt change (a particularly expensive and awkward job) that the aux belt tensioner never needs replacecing (we were going to do it). As it was £70 this was great - £70 saved. 2 weeks later the aux belt wraps around the cams and wrecks the valves. NICE JOB FIAT :)
  8. put it loud enough then you cant hear the road noise :D
  9. lol lads I had one at one stage too dont worry. for a value HU tho I went for the pioneer p9400. it has TA/Xovers/eq and all that but also it can auto eq with the supplied mic so saves a lot of hassle when you change something and it actually does a good job. basically the unit is the successor of the P99/P1 and isnt a kick in the arse off the P9 (well it is but without spending £1500). At £450 it isnt the cheapest but the autoeq makes it invaluable in my eyes. btw halfords also used to sell fake air vents to stick over a HU. not bad but a little crude. -pablo
  10. try them both anyway :) let your ears decide which sounds best :)
  11. paint reactions are just one of those things :( as long as he sets it right then no worries :) looks good to me - mine is getting the same treatment now. all the shabby bits minted !!!
  12. lol the dogs will only chew the wires once :D velcro should be grand for the sub too btw :)
  13. if the amp isnt too deep to the right of the wheel would be ok secured to the floor :) Id use velcro tho rather than screws :) that way it could live under the carpet with a little thin wooden cover.
  14. nah trimode is when u are too stingy to buy a 4ch amp if you bolt the amp to the box I usually stick a layer of carpet or something in between to soften the vibrations off the sub and little rubber grommits if poss. better safe than sorry :)
  15. mate trimode is when you run a sub and speakers off a 2ch amp. running a 4ch amp for a sub and speakers is perfectly normal :)
  16. i hotglued mine on top of the OE grilles. if you still have the OE grilles they could be glued underneath Im sure.
  17. as in V-A-G parts? yes sorry :)
  18. fibreglass enclosure in the spare wheel well?
  19. VAG are ordering them in for me @ £55+vat each so happy days. cheers all!! -pablo
  20. ok maybe not junk em as such. well an alternative is to get rid of the 4" on the dash. for a crossover all you need is a capacitor for a few pence. this wires inline with the tweeter and bobs yer uncle :) If you want to use the pioneer xovers (which will be fine) then some rewiring will have to be done.
  21. screw all that mate. 2 sets of coaxials isnt the way forward. good meaty 5.25" components is whats required. get the tweeters up where the std ones are and the midbass in the std locations. then get a decent wee 2ch amp and spank them. also do some sound deadening of the door and possibly reinforce the plastic baffle thing thats there already. job done :)
