The highest we can get here in California is 91. Some gas stations carry 100 for about 5usd per gallon. In some states you can get as high as 94. Gas in Cal is some of the poorest and most expensive in the the US. When I got my Corrado in January of 04, a fill up cost about 30usd. The cars don't ping on the 91...the ECUs are programmed to compensate for our piss poor gas.

At 2.70 a gallon for 91 octane, cost about 50usd to fill my tank.

18 gallons here...

Turn 2 here in the states has been dead for months. From what I know Jim is trying to fill the residual orders only. Make your own CAI...you can use one from a Honda Civic. A metal is a metal pipe.

He's using the 16v tranny...unless the 16v's are different in the UK...it won't fit. Standalone is good...if you know how to tune it.
-
Yes I am...only the outer edge where the liner meets the fender was trimmed.

You would need the loom, maf, ecu...etc. Your trans will bolt up to the 1.8t block. I think you would also need the engine mount brackets off of your 2.0. I know you'll need the rear for sure. You also may need a signal converter for the tach.

What sort of mods required to get a VR6 upto 220/230 bhp
RS VR6 replied to V3DUB's topic in Engine Bay
I know its at the crank...that means that I have to dyno at 250 at the wheels to get 290 at the crank...which I'm not getting. My motor is healthy...stock it made 160 to the wheels. Nick himself said I have a strong motor. My friends' stage one only did 190 to the wheels and another did a dissapointing 179 to the wheels. -

Heres a pic on how it should look in the cup.

Chip and Cams will probably get you 15-20 peak hp to the wheels...depending on the state of your engine. The engine will start to pull hard above 5500 all the way to 7200. You'll start feeling it above 3k. I recommend replacing the lifters and valve springs while your at it. Remember the numbers I stated are at the wheels, and you numbers will vary. -
I have 17x7.5/33et RS's and I had to roll the front fenders flat.

Probably a Rieger piece...

I have all the VF mounts on my VR6. All my mounts fit perfect. There should be no "kick" under acceleration. Try taking the mount apart. Make sure everything in tight on the inside. Here are the instructions from VF: http://www.vf-engineering.com/mk3-front-mount.pdf

The lower control arms should be parallel with the ground to get "optimum" handling.

I have the outer edge of my liners trimmed when my fenders were rolled. I think they are gone on the blue one. He drives that to work every day...at that height.
