Going to try and turn these bottom ones into proper crystal top-tints with black tinting spray.

I bought the Foliatec / Savage tinting spray from a local car accessory shop but you can also find it on eBay. The key is good preparation if you are doing it DIY. There are a couple of very good DIY tinting guides available, including one on here - wiki guide. I also bought these recently below, which were FK crystals done with red tint spray. I have another three sets of lights that I might have a go at doing either black top or re-tinted.

    Cheers

  2. You can still buy uprated looms on eBay. I had one fitted though and it ended up screwing up the electrics on the car so I ripped it out. I have angel-eyes fitted and they seem brighter than standard rado lights. I also have an HID kit waiting to be fitted. However, I am not going to be using an uprated loom with them as it is really not needed. If staying close to standard I would get uprated loom if well made and can be installed correctly and well and uprated bulbs. If wanting "night and day" difference then get and fit HID kit and fit and forget

  3. Don't get me wrong here it and the whole build is very impressive and very detailed etc, but at the end of the day it is still a replica / kit car built with what seems like non-genuine parts etc.

I'm not sure Lambo would be happy with their name / badges etc. being put to a non-genuine vehicle. And to be fair, it probably cost almost the same as a real one to build in that level of detail ! :?

  6. Dunno, there is plenty of info on these set-up's over on VW Vortex though. I know of one crossflow G60 that was in a silver MK2 that made around 300BHP. It was a demonstrator car for a US-based tuning company. I think they went out of business though and are no longer around.

Its always been something that I have wanted to do though, as I can't justify spending another £2000 on a Eurospec or similar CNC-head for the relatively small amount of gains to be had. Also, don't particularly want to spend another £2000 on a 1.9 or 2.0L bottom end conversion either.

I had seen that head for sale over on edition38 too and was thinking about getting it....but like you too late. These and similar heads are ten a penny over in the US, would be quite easy to pick one up I reckon, although postage would be a bit exp.
