  1. Short answer, with no b*llocks, it's worth about £350 mate, Cheers and HTH
  2. It's a 16V ignition lead holder, duh ;-) Just kidding, I never knew either till I checked the website.......
  3. Safest width to go for would be 15mm, although have heard of people using 12mm width's but think that might be unsafe in the long run. Take of 5mm and you will be fine.

5x120 is the BMW PCD, not the offset. Offset is something else entirely. The offset of a wheel is the distance from its hub mounting surface to the centre-line of the wheel. (in the case of these wheels it's offset ET41). You can't get adapters to convert 4x100PCD to 5x120PCD as the wheel spacing wil overlap. You could get a set of 5x130PCD porsche adapters and get them redrilled to 4x120PCD (you could only run 4-bolts per wheel). I had a set of those e36 BMW BBS RC041 2-piece wheels briefly on my rado using these adapters (were run on a Passat 35i estate and mk2 golf for total of 20,000 miles with no probs). You could however, convert your 4-hub rado to a 5x100PCD VR6 hub set-up then get 5x100-5x120PCD adapters, as these are readily available off-the-shelf, then fit the wheels. Cheers and HTH
  5. I believe the actual model of seat is an early Recaro Expert L, with optional electric adjustment and heating. Think they were about £1000 each back then, more if bought as an option. There was a real tatty set for sale on ed38 a while back for £250 ! CORRECTION: Just checked original ed38 post, original cost of seats was £1200+VAT per seat, and they were going for £200 in the advert back in mid-september, needed a re-trim but at that price.........
  6. Not all Merc's have the switches for electrical-adjustment of seats in the doorcards BTW, only some do. For example last model e-class etc were but new models are on the sides of seats. They might be aftermarket Recaro's but I am quoting from the Golf+ magazine article which featured this corrado, which states they are "ultra-rare Merc SL Recaro's ....retrimmed in black leather" which tends to suggest they were standard fit or cost option, not aftermarket ones put into an SL. Whichever, they are nice seats and a bit different.
  7. Those seats are Recaro's out of a Merc SL (as mentioned above), heated / electric, lumbar adjustment etc. mounted on modified corrado subframes. Switches on sides of seats are OEM Recaro switches as found on the Merc SL Recaro seats (Recaro seats were a cost option). The corrado in question was a metallic blue G60 (J** JFT) and used to belong to a guy called Paul Wright (not sure if he still has it) and rolled on 8x16" polished Porsche Design 90's, Cheers
  8. Blue_Joe You made the right choice man, congrats, and enjoy it when it gets delivered, I know I do when I get to drive them at work ! double-6s, you really do like winding people up don't you........
  9. Yep, have been admiring them also, if I had spare cash they would be getting bought and kept for use with a rado VR6 when I change next year ! Be quick mate, they are sure to not hang around at that price, esp. for five wheels ! Do it ! Cheers
  10. well, I would buy them mate, at that price they are a total steal, and if they don't sit right or too far out just get the adapters / wheels machined, job-done, tasty set of wheels that are different !
  11. Yes you can get 5x112PCD to 5x100PCD adapters BUT offset of these wheels as you mentioned is et37 so with 20mm adapters will become et17 so will stick out from arches I think (although if you get a custom 15mm set of adapters made up and get 5-7 mm machined of backs of hub seating / face offset will become et28-30 which will be much improved and will fit no probs). They are a lovely looking wheel mate, original Audi S2 speedline wheels, all depends on how much you want them I guess, very different and would look good on a rado. Cheers and HTH
  12. My thought are with your and your family at this sad time, all the best for the future and he was obviously proud to have a thoughtful, kind and understanding son such as yourself, RIP mate
  13. Defo the Saab mate, we have several of them at work, the same as the option you are considering the 1.9 TiD and the 2.3 turbo's. They are NEVER in the dealer for parts or problems and they do a helluva lot of miles etc. Heaps of legroom, headroom and effortless comfortable cruiser, important if you are doing a lot of miles. Build quality is also excellent. My mate has a new 159 with the 1.9 16v engine he got in April, and has already been back to dealer four times, once for new clutch under warranty, twice for electrical problems (dash lights all out, and windows jammed down) and lasstly once for immobilser fault (cut-out whilst driving). Saab may not have the best looks, compared to the alfa, but it won't let you down. Plus Alfa is more expensive, so I would opt for the Saab if I had the choice.
  14. Your set, _leon_ are not my old ones. I sold my 9x16" Borbet B ET15's to a guy on eBay who put them on an e30 325i sport and my 7.5x16" ET30 Borbet B's (not quite identical to yours, thought you bought them off andycouk ?) went to a guy on edition38 called russw who had then on his mk2 then he sold them. And as henny says, if they are 4-stud they will be ET30 I think. Cheers
  15. Nope they are defo Borbet B, 7.5x16" ET30 wheels (I had rwo sets once upon a time) and correct that is a G60 Sportkombi model. Sorry, but I really like it ! That interior is ace bar the wood-trim, sure it could be replaced with carbon-fibre or alloy or just leather inserts and those are lovely rare electric leather recaro's with the leccy controls on the inside edge of the seats. Can really see the Volvo 480 similarities and almost cross between Mk2 Polo rear end and rado front.
  16. Think it's a MK2 Golf GTD you are talking about, guess it might fit but may need modified and end-tanks probably plastic, so not ideal as metal ones better. There a others that fit with minimal mods that would probably be better, Cheers and HTH
  17. The BBS G60 wheels are BBS RZ's 6.5x15" and just to confirm their centre-caps will also fit BBS RM's, Cheers
  18. TBH, I don't think you'll get anywhere near those calculated times (quarter and 0-60), and even losing power thru the drivetrain the Scooby MAY have the edge. With rebuilt boxes and quiafe diff's or 6-speed etc. the really quick 20VT or VR6 turbo MK2's / MK3 / rado's etc. are only getting 4.5-4.8 secs 0-60 and just 12.5-13 sec quarter times and that's with 400-500 BHP......... Good luck tho and let us know how you get on at the Pod, Cheers
  19. I can supply with details of suppliers for parts and a how to fitting-guide for a custom intercooler, including core, piping and connectors for about £280 all in if interested ?
  20. TBH I wouldn't put any boost using forced induction thru a carb 8V engine. Get a G60 engine minus the charger and work from there, as long as start-base is G60 engine will handle up to 20 psi as menioned. Bit confused tho as you say in original post how much boost will G60 engine handle then mention engine in your rado is 8V car'b engine ?? So which engine are you going to be using ?
  21. At those sort of speeds, speedo is approx. 10 % out so in reality you were probably doing 145-ish mph, book top speed is apparently 140 mph, so upping the rev limit will give you a few more MPH etc. Not sure I would be comfortable doing 140+mph in my own rado, faster I have been, on a private road of course, is about 125 mph.
  22. R32 is 242 BHP standard but will lose about 30-40 BHP through the drivetrain, but will be quick off the mark. You'd really need VR6 ratios in g'box to have a good chance of beating him, as standard G60 ratios are sh*** for doing standing starts, due to not being able to reach 60 in 2nd. For reference, my G60 (my white one, not long before I got it, runnning about 210-ish BHP), recorded a 14.996 quarter (beating all but the top result in that PVW list) ar Crail raceway, beating a Fiat Coupe 20VT. When engine in my blue one finished (same original engine as in white one but with many more mods) hoping to have at even more than last RR........
  23. Never knew VW did such a nice blue, very similar to Subaru Sonic Blue Metallic, have only seen another one in a similar colour to mine up until now, where would you be from as well, see your rado is RHD but don't recognise country from reg. plate ? Have you got anymore plans for her ?
  24. Looks a very similar colour to mine, lovely and clean and wheels suit her very well, nice one !
  25. Think this has been covered several times before........but mint Recaro leather heated and electric interiors (front seats, rear bench and f+r doorcards go for between £1000-£1200, not as mint for £600-£800. Recaro heated and electric cloth complete interiors go for £600-£800 as well if mint. Normal straight leathers go for between £450-£750 dep on condition. If heated, usually attracts premium of £100-£150, Cheers and HTH
