hey guys just a quick word to say that i was woken up this morning at 8.30 by a traffic warden to tell me that some dirty thief had broken into my corrado and nicked off with my cd changer. I got out to the car and i felt sick, its such a violation. the worst thing is my alarm never went off for some reason so all of you out there get an alarm or check your one works. Im only 20 and keepin the car sweet was tricky but manageable but now i just dont know if i can keep it, its a sad day. thanks for listening Ross :(

I'm going mental aint i?

nope its all standard stuff. had it on the ramp mid-week and check absolutly everythin. there are no rubbing marks anywhere nothing loose and nothing broken. i'm totally stumped the only other thing o can think of is it being the wheel bearing but it doesnt make that noise??????? i'm goin mental

Right i have recently bought a mk2 golf 16 valve inlet manifold to replace the one on my corrado cos of the whole 50mm thing(not gonna bore you wi it) any way i sent it off to get powder coated and i got it back yesterday and i've gotta say these boys did a brilliant job. Anyway i'm gonna change it some time next week and apart from changing the injector seals and the gaskets should i change anything else. Ps any advice from people who have done this before would be greatly appreciated. cheers Ross

mine was the same, sometimes it wouldnt start usually when hot. I cleaned all the earths arond it and this was ok for a while but it happened again so i went to go clean up the main power feed into the starter and it came away in the ratchet it was well rusty. so i forked out for a brand new beast(hurt the wallet large) but it starts sweet as now

I have noticed recently that there have been a lot of posts about a clunking noise coming from the front of the car usually occuring when changing gear. This can usually be felt underneath your feet. I my self have posted about this. The advice i recieved was to change the front engine mount, which i did and this made driving the car a lot better but it didnt cure the knock. I noticed in the engine bay that there is a small bracket that comes off the gearbox and bolts into the gearbox mount, this part was broken so i figured id change that. (Cutting a long story short) got the bit, jacked the car up to change bit, noticed the wheel could be moved a large amount up and down and realised the driveshaft was about 1 thread away from comming out, after shitting myself i tightened it up and shes sweet now. so i just thought i would share that with you lot to make sure danger cam be averted. Thanks for listening P.s does anyone know the torque settings for the driveshafts?

hey it sounds like a G60 transplant for me. I was at the corrado club meet the other before GTI international and there was a guy there in a white C who had put a G60 into his 16 V was that you or do you know this guy would be handy to pick his brains like
-
At the moment i have a corrado 16 Valve and was wondering what would be involved if i wanted to put a G60 engine in it? I know there is bound to be a few people that have done this conversion. Or heres a crazy thought what about makin the 16 valve run with the G-Ladder is this good stuff. Any help would be appreciated thanks guys

cheers i'll check it out

This has only started happening since the other day, when i put the car into any gear while driving usually hapens in third there is a bit of a clonk, this also sometimes happens if i take it out of gear but keep my foot on the throttle a wee bit. I oridginally thought it may have been the clutch but when it does clonk i can really feel it under my feet wich is weird cos the clutch and box are on the other side of the car. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated Cheers Ross

well guys after postin this query i went to the scrappies got some hose and closed that gap, the car runs as sweet as a nut now a what a note comes off it

While at inters i bought a power rhor from dubweiser it looked pretty sweet and i thought it would brighten up the old engine bay a bit. I fitted it last night and it went on sweet as a nut BUT there are two pipes that come off the tube, one come out the right and i think its a rocker cover breather and there is one underneath it and it goes into something. Dubweiser made the pipe that comes off the power rhor too small and its a really bad fit (i'm gonna sort it out today) when i fired up the car it nearly died and then the idle was really lumpy. So i'm just wondering is this part underneath the intake pipe the idle stabilisation valve. Sorry for the long winded question Thanks in advance
