Ah the dreaded baltic conditions ahve got to my pride and joy, the passenger side rear caliper has decided it loves Mr discy and does want to stop huggin him :lol: I got to work and thought the car stopped rather easilly got out and recognised the stench straight away, just passenger side tho drivers side is all good, will have a better look in the morn or saturady, Any tips to end mr discy and mrs calipers love affair? I woke up this mornin to go to college, looked out the window and there was this big pile of snow where my rad was meant to be. Took about 20 mins to clean it all off and then it looked good so i thought i would take some snaps Up market snow plough if ever i saw one :lol: And All pretty with bad ass lighting effect 8) Enjoy Rossco

you should see the flames that come out of Brians(dubster82)G60 bloody mental and it sounds like a demon, somethin about those superchargers you know, hell evenmy 16v has had a wee bit of a back burn to it as well, i was so proud wen that happened :lol:

how do you mean you only replaced the one pulley?

Just recently my autochanger has been playin up, wen im drivin along the cd will stop and then sometimes it will play again or most times it will just turn off, then wen i hit the "source" button it doesnt recognise the autochanger is there, so i have to pop out the cd holder and push it back in, then it recognises it. I've currently got it earthed where the botls for the rear arm-rest is not sure if this is a good earth, Anyone???? Rossco

Right it seems that this pulley on my 1.8 16valve is a bit of a poor piece of kit, old one startd chattering so i bought a new one from the stealers(£40) and within a week it had started chattering(and yes it is deffo the pulley) Crap!!! Im gonna go back with this one but from what people on here have been sayin that they always break and that they are fragile, so i was wondering if anyone knew where i could get a better one or get a better one made up? Cheers guys 8)

It actually came out wi a bit of leverage, couple of (gentle mind) taps wi a hammer and then a screwdriver and she was sweet, hardest part was getting the 12 year old gasket off the back of it :lol:

Does anyone know how to remove the main engine breather, its bolted on beside the oil filter housing, 4 allen head bolts hold it on and according to etka theres a o-ring sealing the other end. Its an l-shape bracket. My engine is leaking oil from somewhere between the oil filter housing and this breather, i got all the new gaskets and stuff, the oil filter housing came off easilly but this bugger wont shift, im just wondering if i missed anything Ross

Yeh thats the one i changed, it doesnt drive anything it just freewheels, but wot im getting at is the fact the brand new one has been on the car a week and its chattering already, just wondering if i had put it on wrong or slipped up in some way?

Not long after i bought my rad the water pump pulley started chattering away, i didnt bother changin it for a while cos i was quite poor, 2 weeks ago i got a new one from the stealers(£40) and bunged it on, fired the car up and it sounded sweet as a nut. But now its gone back to chattering again surely i couldnt have buggered another pulley? Just wondering if anyone has had these issues before? The actual pulley i replaced was the inner "helper" puller, the one that the alternator belt runs on not the actual drive pulley itself. Its a 1.8 !6v by the way Cheers guys Rossco

Is it possible to update the heater controls from the slidey ones to the knobs? Anyone attempted this one?

yeh im quite keen on this one too, what motor do you rip the 2l bottom end off, one boy said to me that some audi's came wi 2l 16v bottom end??
