Uh huh couldnt help overhearing here boys, exactly which audi quattro pistons are we tallkin about here?? I need turbo action in my life
-
I've got the 50 mm one on mine now and it has absolutely no torque until about 4300rpm, its like waiting for the turbo to kick in, i was actually considering putting the wee one back on but i've had the big one powder coated and it looks all pretty, decisions decisions
-
Fuck man you must have one sore ass, im pretty glad i fitted mine myself although i never got any C spanners but i did get the spray shit, As far as fitting them goes it looks like andy has ye covered, top job 8)

Right up date on this problem guys, my drivers side carpets from the pedal to the rear seat are soaking so im guessing the heater matrix has seen better days, only thing is i've heard its a bitch of a job so is there any way i can by pass the matrix(yes morpheus) and run the car without a heater for a while untill i can get some free time to tackle this one. Oh and wot exactly has to be removed in order to get the wee shit bag out and a new one back in, and how much are we talkin for a new one??? Cheers ross

I had a couple of golfs(non GTIs) and then i sold my latest one when some dork offered me way too much money fo rit so i bit his hand off. Then i was i gonne buy a GTI but i thought i fancied something else from those crazy germans, so i thought id get a rad. First one i went to see was the one i own, bloody love the damn thing, the looks ye get on the street the way it sits so bloody mean, its just a hard car, even after all the grief its given me i still love it to bits. ACE 8)

Yeh i checked that cheers man, Andy that just it tho, there are absolutely no signs of any leaks anywhere. The only thing i can think of is that its leaking possibly the sensor where your talking about and the evaporating almost instantly, its a tricky one
-
Well yeh i guess evaporation could occur, its pissing me off man. Oh grimbo cheers for the changer and the spoiler, all good :D

My 16 valve is loosing water in quite a serious way, its not the head gasket its all good, the car isnt down on power or over heating, it runs just as it did but i have to keep topping up the water usually litre a day which is quite a lot. There is no visual leaks nothing in the engine bay nothing on the ground, not wet carpets(heater matrix) the only thing that has changed is that on friday i got a custom exhaust fitted and when they put it on the forgot to put my heatsheild back on  could this have anything to do with it??? Its had a new radiator new, water pump and all the hose clips have been replaced with jubilee clips it was all good untill i got my zorst fitted but i dont really see how no heat shield can = lack of water Help guys

Yep euro look is the way forward, ive got 9x16s and it still handles like its on rails, got my girlfriend to drive it around a car park yesterday  cos i just wanted to see wot it looked like moving and i have to say the corrado is one of the most graceful cars in existence, im in love :-P
-
Induction roar on the 16 valve is amazing, plus the ace thing is it makes no noise change at all untill you floor it and it goes on WOT so it doesnt do your head in on long journeys. Drill large my brother!!!

Another quick question wen i was comin back from the ladys house the other night it was in the early hours of the mornin so i decided that all 16 valves needed a good clearing out, notched up 120 in fourth then was coming up to a roundabout so i hit the brakes but when i hit it the pedal went way further in that normal. After cleaning my pants i slowed it down to about 40 and checked the pedal and all its feel had come back and all was good again. This seems to happen every time im givin the car death and it scares the shit out of me. I've had a few theorys thrown at me about this but i was just wondering if anyone on here could come up with some ideas???? 8)

Ok this is a query regarding a MK2 golf but as the lumps the same i though some of you guys out there can help. The car starts fine from cold idles at about 1100rpm for a while(5th injector) the it slows down to about 900, a blip of the throttle and it splutters a bit then the revs sit at 500-750 any slight revving and it splutters. i thought it might have been cos it was cold but even at 80 degrees it still splutters. I took it out for a drive and its quick when it gets going but at low revs its just mingin then when i got home the revs dropped to about 200 and then it died, took a few turns to get it to fire again and it was still runnin like a sack of shit. Changed the isv(checked it and can hear it buzzing) checked connections all seem to be fine. Tried to adjust the idle speed with the screw on the throttle body but no avail. BUT there does seem to be an air leak comming from around the metering unit or near the throttle body somewhere in that area, i imagine this is whats causing it to run bad but i cant find anything wrong. Any ideas guys??

Mine was the same, they didnt work when i bought the car but i always fiddled about wi the switch, when i was waiting in traffic and the like, then one day they just started working, bloody noisy like. But now its really weird when i press the button up the mirror goes down and to the left wen i press it down it goes off in random directions. Explain that one guys??

I had a go at one of my mates, his one is only a 1.6 16v and my rad totally creamed him, seemingly its the same engine as a saxo vts but yeh its all good
-
just hold on there mannie i might be able to help ye there. i over filled mine one time and over time more and more oil was itting around the oil filter part of the engine. I replaced all the gaskets, o-rings shit like that. fired the car up and it still leaked. wanna know where?? it was comin out of one of the senders in the top of the filter housing, the white one. £7 from VW and a 22mm spanner and its all good now. Just thought i would chuck that in because all those gaskets and stuff took a fair while to change, save ye some hassle there like

Some of the boys have a crazy sense of humor and its sucks that your rims got scratched but i really doubt it if they nicked yer caps man. Cant see it as far as i know them there a top bunch of boys and there isnt anyway whoever did write that stuff in your rims would have done it if they knew it would scratch the laquer. MORAL OF THE STORY: Always keep your rims clean :?: -
Well if you do decide to take it on buddy and this other box falls through then give me a pm cos i've got one sitting in my garage and its fully mint, i only took it off and bought another one cos i thought it was buggered, turned out it was the inner cv joints  anyway let me know
-
Ayee totally optimax is the way forward, mine runs like a heap of shit without it :-P
-
Thats exactly wot i did, i got someone to push in while i had a butchers and it was just dripin out the side of the car near the rear wheel, so its almost their just a wee bit to go. thinkin i might just take the bloody thing off, look a bitty smoother at the end of the day eh??
-
Right im tryin to get my rear windscreen washer to work for my mot but when the motor whines nothin comes out of the jet, it does however come out from the bottom of the car just in front of the passenger side rear wheel. Anybody know where the line runs i couldnt see it. Cheers guys
-
Here we go guys thought id better get some 16v action in here, in amongst all that G60 malarkey happy wi that
-
Could be the thermoswitch for your fan, if this is buggered then your fan wont come on, thus serious cooking. Might not be your problem seeing as your constantly moving it should be cool but this happened to mine and it turned out to be one of these gimpy switches
