just wondering if theyre meant to do down with such a thunk? my experience of VAG leccy windows is limited to the new stuff....so this might be quite normal...thought it best to ask

hmmm.....without looking into racing hybrids, are there any other clutches people have used and can reccomend?

just wanted to check before i spoend any money. etka lists 2 different clutches for the vr6 corrado, one for early cars and the later one as a kit. does anyone know what the difference is/if theyre interchangable? also am i better off with something like a sachs powerclutch kit for gsf/euro for less money? cheers chris

i've just spoken to someone else about storm actually...... im in southampton mate. ive used autotechnik for basic service stuff on 4cyl vw's.....any one have experince of them and VR's?

take it were talking a findanza(sp?) jobbie? bit out of my price range having just bought the car.....but tempting none the less. just need to find someone decent between southampton and watford to do the job. been told that storm developments at basingstoke are v good....

read the knowledge base atricle.....thats why i was asking about the mounts really. if the flywheel that likely to need doing? any gaskets or antyhing down there that might be worth replacing as a precation?

ive had a good read through of all the threads i can find on changing the chains. one of the threads asks if theres anything else worth doing at the same time other than the clutch. obviously the bottomless pit of money option is to do everything! are there any sensible things that should/could be done at the same time? engine/gearbox mounts?

having had a read through some other similar threads, sounds like it might be worth getting it on vag.com before anything else. being a 1993 car will it be coilpack? and obd1?

it sounds like theyre saying that it will improve low down response and mid range torque,,,and make the cars acceleration a litle faster, but onyl below 4000rpm?

when it warms up, under 3000 revs in 1/2/3 gears i think its misfiring. any ideas? put your fott down and it stutters and spurts.

hmmmm. is it a case of just easing it out to have a look?? looks like ive got a list of things to do: sunroof heater controls remove nokia car kit get old imobiliser removed and something new refitted..... fun fun fun!!!

been to look at a C tonight and the heater direction contol only moves to the dash or face vent positions....... have had a read through after a search..... is this fixable, or is a new unit/passat unit the best option?

its got a knakerd imobilliser that needs stripping out from behind there too.... might get the alarm bloke to gimmer a hand stripping and refitting it...as im pretty sure he will need to just to get at the imobiliser....

twas an option on any model wasnt it? if you find a freindly vw parts department, they will be able to decode the sticker in the boot and let you know if the interior was fitted at the factory or not.

im off to look at a VR on tuesday with a car kit drilled into the dash... just wondering how much of a pain it is to strip the old one out and put a new one in?

ello gav how ya doing? take it the 90's still ok? was going for an s2 this time round, but after lookig at some im no longer that keen. the big decision now is g60 or vr6! take it your taling about the passat glass roof??

thats what i was thinking....even a complete new mech can be picked up for £200 odd if you know someone....

before anyone starts trying to beat me to death with a broken mech. i have read the threads posted about the problem. im going to look at a vr with a completely non working roof over the weekend.....is this likely to be the motor is dead rather than anything else? the bloke said its not worked for 4 years and didnt get it fixed because vw quoted him £1000......

top news! just need to persuade the other half....and sell the lupo....and then find a corrado. easy. except for the first bit.

would it alright 4 up with a couple of 6 footers in the front and a couple of 5'5'' ladies in the back? and the lupo back seat is there for show.... as for better things to compare over.....its pretty nippy for a 1.6

so, erm...how bad is it? im trying to persaude the missis that theres more legroom in the back of a corrado than in the lupo.....
