the missis says theyre "minging".....whys it so hard to find wheels that suit the corrado and arent the same as everyone else? -
ive picked up some A6 alloys, which are 16x7 et45 5x112. so to make these fit i will need adapters. they make 10mm or 20mm. am i right in thinking the 10mm will not push the wheels far enough away from the strut and that the 20mm ones would be more suitable? cheers chris

gonna do it all in one mate...hit it in a full day i think. will post up a picture of the old filter....

not yet, although it seems better the more i drive it gary. heading down to littlehampton on monday to get it hooked up to vagcom. then over to elie at voodoo for the chains and stuff on thursday...wasnt going to do it so soon but the clutch has started to slip. trying to get all the parts i could possibly need without being daft about it. also looking at etka, it lists a different clutch for earlier vr's (like mine) anyone know if this is just vw bull, or do i really need a different clutch kit to later vr's?

just a thought.... cam cover gasket and inlet manifold gasket worth doing/need doing as well?

How much would you pay for a set of sebrings with tyres?
big_chris1981 replied to Rico's topic in Exterior
they go for fairly similar money to estroils...top end is about £250 a set with good tyres. -
vw isnt expensive tbh....
-
the first speed of the fan doesnt seem to come on, on mine either. dont suppose anyone knows the part number? (and would care to share? :D)
-
i picked up a full set of badges from vw the other day...the only one thats NLA is the chrome corrado badge.
-
looks like i'll be nipping along to the phirm for a quote.....

its about £270 for the vibratechnics engine(2) and gear box mounts. anyone using them? and standard vag (from a dealer, not gsf) bushes all round + vag top mounts. and some new suspesnion. any ther parts that are worth changing? ball joints?
-
been told by the missis that the wheels i wanted "are just plain wrong".... some nice fat 16x8/9 bornet A's would be nice.....
-
17x8 et 35 wheels should be ok on a vr6 shouldnt they?
-
im not even sure that its a problem..... when i collected the car, about 10 minutes into driving it, the abs light came on. so i parked up stoped the car, started it again and the light went off. since then its not come back on, other than at startup...until last night. nipping down the m3 after no rice last night...possibly seeing how fast the C went...it came on at about a hundred and something naughty mph. and went away again after i pulled up at the services, stopped and restarted. obvious first step is to get it on vagcom.... having said that, anyone got any idea what might be dead/dying? its been stood in a garage for 6 months so it could be something ceased/corroded?
-
are the powerflex bushes worth investing in? was also wondering about vibratechnics engine and gearbox mounts....
-
so, assuming that the engine isnt going to die i have money to spend elsewhere. thinking goes that tightening up the handling and ride would be a better investment than the cheaper bolt on power mods... so, what would people reccomend i change??

im quite tempted by the kw's. the variant 2's are apparently very good, but a tad too expensive for me. im torn between the budget option of weitecs and the more expensive variant 1 kw's.

ahy there peeps, ive been offered a 320mm setup that has been on a mk2 golf for a couple of months. obviously i'd need to get new bells to make it fit the vr, the big question is, is it worth it?

ordered up some service bits from my mate at vw. got a new fuel filter on the way too.
