1. I wouldn't even buy this car for £1k to be honest unless I was in the braking game which I'm not.
2. Ok micky I will ask my mechanic what he thinks, but if you could kindly see if you have that tailgate trim in the mean time. Cheers.
3. Does the mfa fully/display work in the cluster binnacle ? Does anyone know if this 16v MFA would work correct in a late VR6 as Im sure there are different part numbers for the MFA. Cheers.
4. The only storm about this car is the hale of ****e it will give the next owner .
5. Hi Mick, Do you have, Part number 535867602 in black I'm after the horizontal upper trim panel on top of the inside of the tailgate, the one that has the sliding C shaped plastic clips either end. To remove this you must slide the clips back and pull the trim upwards, if pulled outwards or down it will snap the rear clips. It should have five slanted clips on the back built into the trim , I have the C shaped clips all ready. Part number 3 in diagram in 4fb(black) http://www.oemepc.com/vw/part_single/markt/RDW/modell/COR/year/1990/drive_standart/76/hg_ug/867/subcategory/180000/part_id/0/catalog/vw/is_main_page/0/lang/e#sec_3
6. Good luck to the seller of this Storm, looks like a 2k car max to me even less , so only 6k for the storm badge and eroded solitude alloys. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Volkswagen-VW-Corrado-VR6-STORM-very-rare-original-car/113721704694?hash=item1a7a5780f6:g:VBcAAOSws3pcqjCs&frcectupt=true

Late passenger wing

If you need a part off Amos I wouldn't bother purchasing anything unless you can rock up there and catch him off guard, less time to research how much he can cream out of you and can also inspect the parts of course.
8. Just so you're aware Keyo, early VR6s came with a fibre sump gasket so needed shorter Allen bolts. The late ones came with a thicker rubber gasket so needed the longer bolts which are probably the ones they sent you. Well done with the work you've done, cracking effort in such a short space of time! There are a few on here that have the Borla exhaust from who you mention and they rave about it. I've got a jetex non resonated and I think it's absolutely perfect. As long as it's fitted well, the vast majority will be good though Thanks Sean much appreciated. The sump bolt set VW International sent out are not the original set either for the late rado they are even longer then my original ones and are a superseded part number all together, they might be fine to use but my mechanic didn't want to risk it so used my old ones again. Sure jetex and Milltek the main choice in the UK but I would of chose the Borla if available in the UK they use quality grade 304 .
9. Thanks Fen , It did cost a pretty penny buying all the parts and then getting them fitted. I've actually just put my R129 up for sale because of a few reasons. I have more fun in the Rado, need at least one modern car with the new emissions charge coming into Birmingham in the next year or so, bit stressful looking after two classics. Think I'm going to replace the R129 with a MK7 golf GTI not sure yet but will take a while to sell the Merc as it's in mint condition and asking good money for it. Still not yet finished the Rado to be honest its going in to the body shop for paint correction and hinges, sort out the MFA as the last digit only displays half sometimes, new fuel pump and housing, and finally refurbished injectors. P.s Warning thinking of refurbishing injectors, ring Stealth as he mentioned to me that some people had them done at a certain place and I think the ends of them are wrong and have caused damage to the cars somehow, I cant remember the proper terminology he used.

Door Half Hinges

Received hinges today would totally recommend the company from France, yet to be fitted but I will give an update but I'm sure they are fine !

Sparks and leads

Wow 9 years old that sucks. Iam one of those lucky sods but you also have to get some gaskets from Bar Tek in Germany think they cost about £60 + sob ha !

Sparks and leads

Yes I have them on mine if you search black magic returns , they work great and give the maximum spark that works well with the car, when you search for part number FR7KPP33+ you will be also be offered a NGK version but make sure you get the Bosch ones , same words that came out of Vince's mouth. Thee's not much point in putting long life super spark++++ etc. in a VR, just change them every year or 10-15K and you'll be grand. Uless you have a shrick vgi you have to take the manifold off to change the sparks :bonk:

14. Good pics Fen I think this leaves everyone a clear description of what should be sourced for a Corrado VR6 fuel pump.
15. Ok thanks the pump I have just ordered form these lot comes with the swirl pot. Came to just under £135.00 plus delivery. Will decide whether I should get a sender which can be purchased off ebay . https://www.buycarparts.co.uk/vdo/1737314 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NEW-GENUINE-VDO-221-833-002-011Z-FUEL-LEVEL-SENDER-VW-WHOLESALE-PRICE-SALE/163183083932?_trksid=p2485497.m4902.l9144 I would say the above is the cheapest option for the correct OE set up and also much better value then what VW Heritage offer which is not far off double the price and you would not describe JP Group as a market leading automotive manufacturer if you know what I mean. Thanks for everyone's help .
16. Is the swirl pot part of the sending unit . Cheers.
17. Thanks Fen, Would you get the sender to as must be looking pretty tatty I imagine. VW Heritage are selling a aftermarket JP pump and housing for a whopping £350 and you can get the original pump and sender for under £200 wow.
18. Is it worth getting the sender as well even though I should have the correct one as its a late VR6 1995 model?
19. Thanks Fen. I've managed to find this but I have used this company before and they have a .co.uk website but take ages to deliver and are in fact based in Germany. Not a bad price for both pump and sender. Im going to see if VDO UK can match their prices as their HQ is located in Birmingham and I can just collect them as they will have to order in from Germany but only two days, also any problems I can just pop them back to them rather then sending back to Germany. Link https://www.buycarparts.co.uk/basket VDO UK also do all the single platform instuments. https://www.vdo.co.uk/meta-navigation/contact/
20. Right just to confirm I spoke to Bosch earlier and I have returned the pump as it is 3 bar even though Euro car parts advertise it a 4 bar. I believe this is the correct pump ? If so anyone know anywhere to get the same one cheaper. ? Cheers. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VDO-Fuel-Pump-4bar-Electric-For-VOLKSWAGEN-CORRADO-E22-041-060Z/312552428227?epid=1416938808&hash=item48c59392c3:g:Jk0AAOSwwJJcoDwx Here is the cheapest place to get the sender that I could find, and good service arrived in a few days. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NEW-GENUINE-VDO-221-833-002-011Z-FUEL-LEVEL-SENDER-VW-WHOLESALE-PRICE-SALE/163183083932?epid=249158734&hash=item25fe78419c:g:dmAAAOSwNSxVW4D6&frcectupt=true
21. That's a hell of lot of car for the money. You can get a secong hand hardtop for £250 off ebay if you shop about.
