Cheers for the comments guys (and the link ;)) Its a relatively low milage (around 88k), but there is a little bodywork damage that would need to be sorted to make it A1 (a car door ding on the rear drivers quarter and a series of scratches on the bonnet) Any thoughts on what sort of $$$ I should be asking for.

Hey Bally, I know - been well busy with trying to get a new house, work and the new car. It looks like it's time to flog the C - I've loved every minute, but the opportunity to get a Chimaera came up so I went for it. The pics of yours are looking pretty phat - haven't seen it round MK for a while though. What have u been doing to it? So, what do you reckon - sell it modified, or put it back to standard. (Speedlines wont fit behind the big brakes unfortunately!)
-
Hi, Do you reckon it is worth putting a car back to standard to sell it? I'm only talking about relatively minor things; Coilovers, big brakes, wheels etc, but do you think the sale would be easier / quicker. Just looking on ebay and autotrader and there don't seem to be too many about - are they generally selling? Sorry for the vague questions, but I bought a TVR about a month ago and one of them has gotta go :( Cheers, Mike

Hello! I know this has been discussed a fair few times - I've gone through most of the threads, but someone recently suggested connecting the two vacuum pipes to each other!?! Any ideas if this would work? Cheers, Fairzy

Hello mate How's things? Haven't seen you about recently, done much to the 'rado? Have to arrange another MK meet.
-
Mate, that's great help thanks! Looks like i'll be getting a new interior then ;-)

Hi, I've been offered a Recaro interior (not leather :-() for sensible money if I swap mine. Is it a major job to swap interiors - I've removed the door cards before when looking for a annoying rattle, but never removed a seat / rear bench. Are they simple 'undo 4 bolt jobs' or something more major.... I guess the major concern is wiring in the electric (not heated seats), is this a major job? Anyone done it who can give me a few pointers? Cheers Fairzy

Cheers mate - I'm well chuffed with them 8) Did you get the rad sorted?
-
Cheers for the comments guys! 7.5" - the tyres are 205/40/17 Just fitted an induction kit too (I know - they get too hot etc etc) but I'm very happy with the sound and once I've knocked up a metal heatshield etc the performance should be back ;-)

Thanks mate :thumbleft: All red rear lights, VW wheel emblems, a new fog light and that's about it for the time being.

Well it's been a while since I've been on here last, but the cars slowly getting there... New wheels, big brakes, coilovers etc

I'm running Weitec coilys and 16s on mine - had them for about 5 months now. Overall they are great. Bodyroll is minimal and over most roads it is smooth. It can crash around a little on really rough road but overall a big thumbs up. Picking up some 17s on Sunday, so will let you guys know what happens then!
-
Unlucky man.... hope it all gets sorted soon.
-
dinkus - how do you find the koni's and 16s? What's the ride like?
-
Just got to add that I've had mine on for about 700 miles now and I love them... Best mod I have done so far (the other was clear indicators, but still) They have transformed the car completely and feel like they should have been standard. ... Roll on coilovers 8)

I can get hold of some suitable bolts (M12 x 40, allen key head, 12.9 etc) PM me if you want some...

After several long weekend's work I have not finally got my 312s on!!! First impressions; Well they are big, really big - in fact they only just fit behind the 16s, but in my opinion look awesome. In terms of stopping power, I have no idea yet - the brakes are still nowhere near being bedded in, which kinda leads to... I have bled the brakes with a friends help, using one of the halfords clear plastic tube jobbies and there doesn't seem to be any air left in there, but I've heard that some garages can do a pressure bleed - what's the difference, how much does it cost, and is there substantial benefit?? I appreciate I can ask a garage, but call me pesimistic, but they will only say what gets them the most $$$...

why do people bother? :(

Seen a few test cars around Milton Keynes and they are gorgeous. Smaller than you imagine, but they look incredible from every angle. :notworthy:
-
I cant say thats the route I'd have gone down with my C, but surely that's the beauty of modifying cars - you make something that looks/drives etc like YOU want it to. On that note, fair play mate and enjoy!

Just picked up my daily driver today and am well chuffed. It means I can take my time over fitting the 312s (eventually they'll be on) and it also makes the Rado feel more 'special'... especially when the daily driver is a Mondeo!! Adrian Flux will mirror your no claims to a second car. and Supercharged it's a Corrado!!
-
Also, anyone know the right size hardline and tube nut needed? Cheers for you help guys... hopefully the 312s will be on one day soon
-
Bolt now horrendously rounded... and vice grips worked like a charm :( mk2_20vt - yup I'm talking about the part your thinking about. does anyone with a VR know from the ABS unit which goes to the passengers front?? Unfortunately it looks like it's a replacing the pipe job.
-
Sorry, a little off topic... :-P

Damn, I would LOVE to come to that track day, but I've jsut checked and it will be a 260 mile round trip from Milton Keynes (not doubting the C will make that obviously) but after 130 miles trip there, then hammering round the track for a day, then 130 miles back.... I'm sure you can see where I'm going with this. Q for anyone who does track days, how does the C usually stand up to the abuse, I mean the only change on mine will (hopefully by then) be 312 brakes??
