A very small amount of progress this week: Rear calipers back on: Front calipers: New Bosch Aero wiper blades up front: And the progress on the alloys: Tyres off: Primer after rubbing down: First coat of paint: I also fitted a couple of new rubbers to the brake and clutch pedal, oh and I bought new front and rear seats which will hopefully arrive during the week. I will do a more detailed update this time next week! -
Hi. Is that a rip/tear on the right hand side?
-
I bought a pair of these last week and found that the banjo bolt that goes into the Mk4 caliper was too long, so I used a hacksaw to cut it down about 7mm. Good quality item though!

Give what you get mate. Im not saying two wrongs make a right, but I had a similar problem with a neighbour of mine when I move into our new house. He came round one time kicking off about nothing in particular, and then 2 weeks later I had another knock on my door and I went face to face with him even though he's twice my size, and I think it shocked him that I stood my ground as he wasent expecting it! Ive not had any trouble since! Stand your ground! Dont let anyone walk all over you, ever!

Anybody else have a 2.0 16v that they could have a look at for me, and tell me what order the cables connect to the bllock please? I'll buy you a virtual beer! :)

Small update. I managed to find a MK3 golf with electric sunroof at my local breakers yard, I got the whole mechanism including motor, switches and glass roof, I also got some parcel shelf straps from a VW polo and a couple of other small items all for £12! :) I brought it home and swapped the glass for my metal sunroof panel and refitted everything, and it worked perfectly first time! The mechanism was like new, and once tested I refitted the roof lining and all the trims. The whole job to refit only took about 45 mins. New mechanism and the old one(the new one has the glass panel): Also got a couple of flashing LED door pin surrounds from a MK5 Golf, which I will be wiring up next weekend: And final job for today was to fit the rear Aero wiper which im very impressed with: Im getting the rear of the car up on axle stands tomorrow ready for the brakes to be done and so that the wheels can have the tyres removed ready for refurbishing them. -
Did you manage to find out anymore on this for me james? Cheers mate. :)

Another busy day, mainly concentrating on the brakes as a friend of mine is popping round during the week to bleed the whole system and sort the brakes out good and proper. :) Im still in the middle of fixing the sunroof, but still havent managed to obtain the replacement parts yet. Whilst the front wheels were off i decided to take off the plastic under the wheel arch off any check for any previous damage or rot, and was really happy to say that it is totally solid under there. Brakes, mk4 calipers first: Front calipers: I stripped the sunroof rail ready for when I get the replacement part and also removed my old sunroof seal and replaced it with a brand new one: Thats it for today. I will be hopefully getting pics up of the brakes fitted by wednesday, possibly get the sunroof and head lining back in, and fix the broken sensor cables in the engine. Rob. -
James that would be excellent if you could mate. Id really appreciate it. :)

Did you mess with any wiring when you were doing the exhaust, Lambda sensor maybe? Does the car have an immobiliser? Check the fuses are all good, and especially the fuel pump fuse, and make sure all the relays are pushed it tightly.
-
Welcome aboard mate. I also have a 2.0 16v, its the second corrado I have owned running the same engine. If you need and advice let me know. Take care .Rob. :)

Ive had my sunroof out of the car now for a few days and have found out that it has a broken component. Does anyone have sunroof parts available to sell? Im mainly looking for this part: This part is located on the passenger side of the suroof, and if anyone could supply me the complete mechanism for that side then that would be even better! I would like to get the sunroof back in asap, so any help would be appreciated. I can paypal straight away. Thanks. Rob. :)

Try it again once the battery has had a full charge and you have put the fuel in. If you havent touched anything else whilst fixing the exhaust then what else could it be? Did you do any welding to the exhaust?
