Ive tried searching before I posted this but unfortunatly cant find an answer to my problem: I bought my VR6 about 3 weeks ago as a non runner due to an electrical fault. I stripped out the Clifford alarm, took out the massive amount of cables related to the aftermarket ICE system and removed any non original wiring, so that it was all back to the original loom. After removing all of this surplus wiring the car now starts and runs perfectly, but for some reason the central locking is not behaving! Ive just purchased a new wiring loom for the dash and a new central locking module. I thought that perhaps the old central locking module was fried due to the previously dodgy wiring, so replaced it and it made no difference. Basically at the moment the car is on my driveway, and I leave the battery disconnected so that it wont drain while not in use. When I connect the battery up and go to unlock the door with the key you can hear central locking pump and the doors/boot will unlock. But if I try to lock the car again nothing happens, only the door I have the key in will lock! The pump wont make any sounds either after the first turn. But if I disconnect the battery and try again it will work but only to lock/unlock once and then nothing. I also swapped the central locking pump from a mk3 golf but that made no difference either! Any suggestions would be appreciated as I really wont to get the interior back in, but not before ive fixed this fault! HELP!!:) Cheers.Rob.

Im in a similar situation mate but i will say sometimes its better the devil you know! I have a family to support and cant burn any bridges, and would only move from my current job if I was finally pushed out or something better came along. Life can be a juggling act sometimes mate, but sometimes you have just got to roll the dice, and hope that a new start will mean a better future. But at the end of the day its up to you to make the final decision as its your life it will effect, and possibly wont make it any better long term, Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

I can help you with that mate. But you will need to give me a day or two to get back to you. The chip will fit in your existing key or buy one of these:http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/130349125091?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649 The key is a shell and the transponder fits inside it! I will sort out a wiring diagram and send it over to you if thats any help. ;)

Just did a quick search through google images and was amazed at how many crashes Corrado I saw, here's a few of the bigger smashes: I would be interested if anyone wants to add anymore pictures to this thread, especially any funny crash pictures of Corrados. No wonder they are becoming rarer by the day. :)

Late Corrado Door Cards - Cloth Dark/Pattern
dumptyboy replied to larceny fink's topic in Parts for Sale
ParcelMonkey can deliver these through Citylink for £8, but obviously the seller needs to package them up and add this to the cost. I think this is a very fair price for posting! -
Sorry to hijack your thread but Im looking for one of these aswell, the one on the passanger side. If once ray get what he needs, if anyone has one spare for me then send me a PM please. Cheers.

You can have the chipped key and ring(inc. wiring) if you think it will be any good to you. I can take a picture for you in the morning if you like, just to double check what I have is any good for you! If it is what you want then if you cover the postage cost(£3) then I will post it over to you Monday? I will try to get a picture in a minute if the kids go to sleep sooner rather than latter!lol. :) ---------- Post added at 10:27 PM ---------- Previous post was at 10:09 PM ---------- Sorry about the crappy picture, I had to rush to do it whilst the kids were going to sleep! Is this anything like what your looking for?

I dont know if its any good to you but I have been changing my wiring loom today in the corrado using my old golf mk3 wiring. I have he immobiliser ring, key with chip and ecu that you could have if that would work? Its off a mk3 2.0 8v golf, but if you can make it work then its yours. All the wiring ive used so far seems to match the corrados perfectly. Im not an expert on this kind of thing so please dont laugh if this is in no way going to work. :)

Looks good mate. PM sent.

I'll look forward to seeing them. Cheers mate. ---------- Post added at 5:16 PM ---------- Previous post was at 3:23 PM ---------- Also I no longer need the complete dash wiring loom, I use the ignition part of the loom from my old golf mk3(which matched perfectly) but the speaker and stereo wiring had also been cut!! So im looking for the wiring loom for the stereo leading to the dash tweeters and door speakers. Anyone got this??

That is crazy mate. Top marks for being original with your Rado! Makes driving very interesting im sure! If you use this car on the road then do the police ever give you any hassle on a regular basis because of the way it looks? :)

Pm sent daves16v. Cheers mate. -
Do you have a fob for the immobiliser, or what is used to de-activate it? What did you do when you collected the car to disarm the immobiliser? :)
-
Cheers for clearing that up Stuey. Im replying to all my PM's slowly and will get back to you shortly if I havent already. Does anyone else have any of the other parts that I need. My priority is sorting the wiring loom, boot carpet and pillar trims. Let me know if anyone else has any of these. Thanks peeps. :)

Welcome mate. Let us know how you get on with sorting out the car. I purchased my 3rd Corrado yesterday and it was advertised as spares or repair due to an electrical fault that wouldnt allow it to start! I removed the clifford alarm and repaired the cables that it was spured into and it starts first time now. Let me know if I can help with some advice if you decide to remove/replace the immobiliser/alarm. Good luck mate.

Does anyone know if there is any difference in the dash wiring looms, comparing a vr6's to a 16v's? Any help would be appreciated.
