    Yeah my brother in law has a 997 Carrera S with track option pack but it just seems to be rather characterless, or maybe it's just me being green!!!

    An impact wrench is also a very handy tool for removing those nasty seized bolts!!! Also remember to use some copper paste when refitting bolts unless instructed to use loctite (in general). A G clamp is also handy for pushing the piston back.

    Just out of curiosity how many times has the lancer won the WRC? I looked on the net but couldn't find any archive results as I'm not so sure that they have won it several times?

    I've just replaced as much as possible on mine and it does make a difference, well to me anyway. Removing the origonal stuff was like eating a plawn clacker :lol: CRUNCHY!!!

    I have searched for this but I've been unable to find any info on here or on google :( I'm running 17's on my VR with 205/40 Rainsports any ideas what tyre pressures I should have them at? Cheers

    I hope your going to use wiring loom cloth tape on your electrics I think it looks so much better but thats just me :wink:

    107 on a rolling road with no air resistance and the limiter is supposed to be set at 112 (I think) in Japan which I'm assuming it's from.

    Found that my battery light is on on the dash, when running the volts read about 11.75 and when ignition off it goes up to 12.20. My cars been at a standstill for a few weeks with the battery removed. I've found a spade connector not connected to anything and I can't see where it could go, it's situated at the front middle bottom of the radiator area. The wire colour is black and yellow any ideas if this could be the problem??? It's a VR6 by the way and the battery has been tested and is ok.

    Flush it out with water from a hose, you can get a chemical to use first but not sure what it's called. The blockage in cooling systems generally appear in the radiator so just back flush it to see what appears.

    Could just be that one of the fans isn't working as I'm sure they are attached by a belt, it may have snapped.

    Try flushing out the system as if their's a blockage this is the best thing to do and pop some lovely fresh coolant in :D
