Nice one gradeA my boy! Always wondered where I could get this list :) Mine was first registered in Middlesbrough, then to somewhere in Surrey, now lives in Twickers...

Ouch!! What a f'ing bummer!! A mate of mine hit a full grown deer in her MX5 and its legs went through the windscreen and it damn nearly kicked her to death, luckly she got out! Glad you got out of it un-damaged even if the car didn't!

Thanks to: John (aka 16vG60) - for the solid front engine mount, super speedy delivery dude, thanks :) Timg60 - for the GMAX springs, honerable guy who paid postage because he forgot to put it on his advert! Kept me updated on delivery, top man thank you! Mark 2 gti - for the wing mirror, turned up so clean I had to wash my car to fit it!! It was as advertised, in excellent condition, looked almost new! So thank you lads, my car now moves without the engine falling out, sits 40mm lower and is legal again with its super shiney wing mirror. In ebay terms A+++++ :)

I got my 50mm flowed top and bottom half of the bay for 99p.... I'll get my coat...

Heading towards Plymouth once, just after where the M5 turns into the A38 (up the hill towards the horse race track) I was shooting up there with a G40 side by side. I was flooring it as I assume was the young lady driving the G40 and I was only just creeping past, but at a snails pace, must have been doing up near the "lose your licence" speed and I was suprised that the G40 was keeping up (not knowing much about them at the time). Lost her on the twisties on the down hill part though... if anyone knows that road you'll know what I mean, great bit of road that. Guess if that was a standard G40 a tuned one would munch a 16v... At the time my 16v was totally standard. C looks better parked up mind you :)

I have had loads of problems with lumpy running on my vavler, to save a long post the crux of it was a hole in the vaccum system. Also it is running very lean, I'm going to have to take it upto Stealth for a chip re-map which should sort it. I gather that the KE-Jetronic fuelling system on the 9A lump is not adjustable, so you can only sort out lean running with a chip re-map. I'd give Vince at Stealth a call and get it up to him for a check over if possible.

I had idling problem with my valver, was a small hole in a vaccum pipe attached to the ISV. You might try getting some carb cleaner spray and carefully (it is flammable) spray around the vaccum pipes... Make sure the engine is running when you do this and if you have a leak you should hear the engine revs increase.

Help my car hates me again!! problems found!!3/4/06

reaper1_3, Not likely to be a vaccum problem is it bud? I've not changed my manifold yet but looks like it's very close to the ISV vaccum pipes... Is it likely one of these got knocked/ damaged? mistrall, what was the problem with your Valver running lean mate and how you fix it? Mine is doing the same.... -
Give the missus a bucket of soapy water and scrubbing brush?
-
Not for me... :pukeright:
-
Nahhhhh the C looks spot on with a phat tail pipe sticking out. If you've got it, flaunt it!!

As a further note a mate of a mate took her car ther after a prang a few weeks back, they also fecked her car up. She was also insured by Elephant.co.uk so they're still using these spunkmonkies. So elephant.co.uk customers in London - Watch out!
-
1) Yup 2) Yup, if by "sandwitch" you mean she has her danish mate with her. SCHWIIINNNGGG NB: Danish mate is female :)

15's all the way!!! ....I'll get me coat.....

Seat belt motor... not heard of one of those. Not sure if Euro Spec C's have these, but I do only have the 16v (poverty spec C) :)
-
Karoliz, Information on sourcing the parts you need for this mod would be very useful. There a a number of "how to's" on the web showing how to take the dash pod apart so you shouldn't need to go into too much detail :) Does look like an excellent job! Well done!

Corrado ownership can draw you to drink.... Without meaning to highjack this thread, is there a decent garage with RR facilities in the London area anyone can recommend? Before I get a verbal slap, I will be having all work done at Stealth as they are the nuts, but in the intrim, I would like a nice local RR to check the basics and save me time!!
-
Looks nice! Have you got a "how to" to do this mod?
-
Bobby, I believe the following switches illuminate when the ignition is turned on (based on late spec interior): 1) Wing mirror adjustment pad 2) Electric window switches 3) Sunroof switch illumination Hope this helps!

Phil, If the OEM chip makes no difference t the mixture it'll have to go back to Stealth to be sorted. I'm planning to do this asap, I'll let you know the results when I have them dude. Don't suppose you wanna buy Blitz Chip do you? I've also got an eco-tek thing as well apparently good for 40+ BHP!! :) Blimey craig!!! That must've p155ed your mate right off!!! Better get that blinkin' chip outta mine asap by the sounds of it!!
-
Cheers for the info Phil. I also noticed a gradual increase over time after my KR cam got fitted, very impressed! I'll have that Blitz chip out soon and hopefully that'll release the horsey's !! :) Just can't get my head around the noticable increase in foot to the floor fun but the low BHP figure... most odd....
-
lol, it doesn't look good for the chip does it... :) Apparently the Blitz chip gives a more "aggresive" fuelling map... I thought this would richen up the mixture. Well no bother, I have a couple of ECU's in my spares box so I'll swap them out and see what happens...
-
You can get Blitz chips off ebay for £50, I was trying it out to see what difference it made... hopefully it is the cause of the problem, but knowing my C it'll be something else uber expensive... gotta love the C!! :)
-
bcstudent, It was running lean all the way through at full throttle. davidwort, I'll get the old ECU with stock chip plugged back in and see if it makes any difference. I guess if it works I should go quicker! :) The Blitz Chip was for a 9a 2.0L 16v, although it is pre-programmed not set up specificaly for my car Got plenty to get on with so thank you all for your input :)

I didn't get the figures off Vince (doh) but he said it was running so lean that it would damage the engine over a period of time if not fixed. Unfortunately the VAG-COM did not work because I think the Bllitz chip have stopped the reading. Running as lean as Vince suggested does logically point to this being the problem with my low BHP. Vince checked the Lamda and other senseors were working fine.... I could give him a call and see if he remembers the figures if you think this will help bud?
