Wheels off the car ... 5 out of 10. Wheels on the car ... 11 out of 10. I shouldn't like them but I really love the look. Good luck with the sale!

It's this sort of thing that really confuses me: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/newsbysector/mediatechnologyandtelecoms/electronics/9549228/iPhone-5-sends-Apple-juggernaut-into-overdrive.html And, to some extent, I agree with our Sunderland friend. What's the point of spending potentially £700 just to have/be seen with the latest thing? And even worse, the idiots who queue up for 12 hours to get their hands on one, probably because they can't even wait for the damn Postie to arrive  Yes I do have an iPad but it's the first generation and until they actually do something else a bit more groundbreaking with it, I won't be upgrading. Oooh 7% thinner and 2% lighter and the battery life is extended by 3 minutes. So what. Ok the new ones have a better display and a camera. But I have a camera. It's called, a camera. But in general the iPad is a wonderful device. I've just bought a new Yamaha AV receiver (home cinema amp to you and I) and there's an app that lets me control everything from my iPad. Including streaming all of my music to the speakers hooked up to the amp. And the Macbook Pro. If you price up a new one with the fancy retina screen and add a few minor upgrades, you're easily knocking on the door of £2k+. There's no way in hell I'll spend that much. I have a decent spec 15" MBP and I paid a Windows laptop price for it. And it will probably do me for the next 4 years. So it's for that reason that I dislike this apparent douchebag label that automatically means that if you buy Apple stuff you're a turd. Hmm. When that started I was only going to post a link. Like most things in my life it turned into an angry meandering rant.

Stop giving advice. We're supposed to be arguing.

Ditto that really. Turn up with some tools (to remove the manifold, rather than 'tools' if you know what I mean). It could go one of two ways really, face to face he apparently sounds quite reasonable so might feel guilty and cave. Over the phone and email it's far too easy for him just to ignore the problem and hope you go away. Or I guess his 'boys' could stove your head in with a tyre iron.

I hate to say it but you're just being an even bigger stereotype. I'm so cool because I hate Apple and make Baaaaaah noises at people who buy their hardware. I'm sorry but I'll take my advice from someone who at least has an informed opinion to give.

Don't get me wrong, I have a fairly healthy dislike for Apple and how they do certain things. But there's no getting away from the fact that they do a lot of pioneering things and generally speaking a lot of their products are superior and very intuitive to use. I've never had an iPhone ... or even a smartphone for that matter. I have a Blackberry Bold 9000 but I don't regard it as a smartphone. For me, my iPad and Macbook Pro are brilliant. But I still use a PC for about 9 hours a day for work.

205bhp?

What Apple products have you owned to give you such a hatred for them?

Any thoughts on the S3 versus Nexus? Amazon currently have the Nexus sim-free for about £279, which is quite a nice saving over the S3!

Can we stick to one thread please if it's just for car updates ... http://direct.the-corrado.net/showthread.php?76531-how-do

Does anyone know where I can get a used door handle?

Longest running Wanted advert. Ever. -
Thanks Ste, I know Andi will appreciate it as the server costs are quite high in order to provide such a large and (hopefully) rapid forum. The actual statuses are based on post count rather than length of membership.
-
Pretty much yep. Remove, clean, re-grease is quite a common task amongst Corrado owners. Although once you've done it, should be good for at least a few years.

Dead easy way to be promoted from n00bie. Just make a donation or become a subscriber and show the world how much you care about the world. And the upkeep of Andi's Ferrari.

It's worth testing with the car running and then also doing it with everything turned on as well ... stereo, rear screen, lights, wipers, heaters, air con (if you have it obviously) etc.

Wow that's quite distinctive! Doubt that gets missed very much! :) Welcome to the CF

Cheers Matt. It's certainly not mint but it's a very decent base car for something well over 20 years old. I hate the term 'mint' as it rarely applies to any car but I'd like to think I could get it close. Saying that £800 for yours is brilliant money. What mileage is on it and what colour - black? What spec are the RM's and how much ££?

Has it ever sat / been allowed to go completely flat? Long periods sitting dormant (mixed with cold weather) can mean instant death for even a fairly new battery.
