I can understand the argument for poor handling and tramlining running too wide up front. I would never go more than 7 on the front for sure, but are 8's on the back really that bad? Hmm might want a re-think. I figured the 7/8 combo would handle pretty well. Trust me, I'm not getting into all this 'stanced' malarky, I just want to fill the arches a bit more. I have the Evo for go, so I don't mind sacrificing a little bit of ride comfort on the Golf. If ride comfort was paramount I wouldn't bother with rims, I'd get some KW's or something instead.

Cheers (again) Redfox, a useful insight. I would definitely go 15's on the Golf. From what I've ready, I think 7's and 8's are best for the Golf in terms of looks without compromising handling/having rubbing issues. iR6 - what makes are those? And where did you get them from? They look pretty damn good actually.

You buy the car, I'll take the wheels off you :) Good post :salute: I should have said though, wheels would be for a Mk2 Golf rather than a Corrado. Speaking of prices, what do half decent sets of RH ZW1's go for these days? Had a look on Ebay (UK) but couldn't see any.

Good spot! :) Unfortunately, if I do take the plunge, I'm hoping for 7.5" on the front and 8" on the back. Which means that after buying 4x dishes and refurbing those, I'm probably north of £1k. So may as well buy some already done and save the hassle.

 git Good stuff, cheers chap :afro:

 Lol I think I still owned a Corrado about 5 years ago!

Very nice indeed! I presume you've just literally sold them on this week then?
-
Ok so I'm in the right ballpark then, thinking wise. I don't mind spending RM money - as you say they would hold their value if looked after. Problem is I'm not a polisher and don't think I can be bothered with the arse ache of cleaning them twice a day. They look pretty nice actually Andy. 15's I presume - what width and offset? Give me a yell if you want to get rid ...
-
Ok just to be clear I'm somewhere between photoshop ... and £2k for some RS (or £1.2k for RM) ...

I have a Mk2 Golf and really fancy a set of these. But why the hell are even scabby sets fetching north of £800?! I know there are some alternatives, Lenso, Dare etc. Any thoughts on getting the same look but without the ridiculous 'scene' price-tag?

There are so many sunroof threads on here it's unreal.

Did someone request a name change?

I had a feeling I was missing something  I think I'd rather travel back from the states with 15 screaming kids than wait for my 4 tyres coming off the luggage conveyor belt. Although I'm sure questions would be asked if I had 15 screaming kids as well.

Or you mean it needs to pass the emissions test ... which it could technically do without the cat, but highly unlikely on a standard car running standard engine management. I think?

The Woman in Black - Harry Potter. Got bored after about 3 minutes so not really sure a rating is appropriate! Get the Gringo (or Fetch the Gringo?). Not too bad. Watchable. Just a bit pointless. A generous 7 out of 10. The Dictator. Very pointless, obviously, but some amazing lines. Borderline 8 but going with another 7 out of 10.

How big is your suitcase?
-
Sorry, stupid question .... are you shipping them back to the UK?
-
Just got the error page... unfortunately it didn't last long...

Ah so you've seen Andi then? -
Exactly. Mine looked like a plucked chicken by the time I finished.

Devil's advocate ... it just looks like the car is low and you've driven into the curb. The potholes you mention don't look particularly bad in the photos. Not disputing what you've said, that's just how it appears from the pictures.
-
Of course  I was just poking fun that anytime someone posts a link to something else for sale they inevitably end up getting asking questions about it.
-
Would you take £35?
-
Read through his posts. All he wants to do is stick Porsche bits to it. Or ask daft questions like has anyone ever fitted a 1.8t to a Corrado before. If I had to guess, he's American and about 17.

Don't feed the troll.
