It's highly unlikely to blow up unless Kermit the Frog ends up mapping it. It can be done but without any other mods i.e. cams, Schrick, supercharger etc., I'm not entirely sure the benefit would outweigh the cost. But that's more observation/opinion than hands-on experience.

Thanks again :) Yep he details the Evo when he comes over here usually. Normally a couple of times a year. Tim's a really nice guy and very good at what he does - would definitely recommend him if you're considering having some work done.

Cheers guys. I was actually going to have a crack at the whip myself but when you look at some of the side-by-side comparisons, you can see it needed someone who knew what they were doing! I have done a few things myself, not that much needs doing. I've re-painted the red grille stipe to bring back a lot more colour. De-milked the inside spot lights - they tend to go quite milky looking with time so a large allen key and some glass cleaner later and they've come up pretty well. I should have a new windscreen arriving soon as well and then it's going to the bodyshop to have a few minor patches of surface rust around the windscreen taken care of. The current alloys are nice but just don't fill the arches enough so I think it's going to have to gain some sort of BBS with a respectable ride height.

I can't confess to this being my handiwork but thought I'd throw up some 'clean' pictures seeing as though there's only about one picture on this thread and it's pretty pants.

The guy holding the alloy up against the car for the pic ... does he shave his legs? I think we need a Mk2 appreciation thread seeing as though quite a few of us on the forum have them (myself included).

Best of both worlds, nice one Baz :) -
Looks great Matt .. and I think I like the red alloys as well!

Just back from The Dark Knight Rises (IMAX). Absolutely brilliant film. I don't rate much 10/10 but this is just about there I reckon. The cinema probably helped a lot though - if I watched it at home I reckon it's probably an 8 or 9.

17's should always fit without rubbing unless you're going silly wide - 8"+. End of the day it's your car, do what you like with it :)

You can, but you shouldn't. Will be the general consensus around here. 16's are perfect for the Corrado IMO.

I don't really get cheap suspension. Must be a bit like buying a really nice toilet seat and then setting it on fire while you use it.

All you can really do is see what others/comparable cars are selling for. Have a trawl through Pistonheads, on here, Autotrader, local rags etc. Trouble is the market is fairly small these days so people can ask what they want - good ones will be able to justify their price and, quite simply, the bad ones will sit unsold. Impossible to tell based on a 10 line description but if it's really nice I don't see why £3k couldn't be done.

Looks great - bet it really shifts! :salute:

Yeah pretty good advice matey, was thinking of waiting for at least the iPhone 5 to come out - should see the prices on the 4 (and other handsets) come down a bit hopefully. I don't even mind picking up a second hand one in good condition. They always end up getting banged about anyway.
-
I wouldn't consider anything under £600 personally.

I could really do with a new phone but can't decide. Currently have a blackberry which, although good for emails and I can type like-the-wind on it, is absolutely horrid. It locks up, is slow to respond and can't handle much more than a simple game of noughts and crosses. I've been looking at the Galaxy Nexus (rather than the S2). Tempted by the S3 but not sure the extra cash is really worth it for me in terms of extras I don't really care about. Iphone 4 is the other consideration ... I couldn't give two stuffs whether I've not got the brand new latest thing on the market so the iPhone 5 can sod off. Leaning towards the iPhone 4 but can't help thinking I'll regret not getting the Nexus.

Basically, no. Ok they will lower your car and if that's top priority then go for it. Personally I prefer function over form and I'd rather go for ride comfort/quality any day.
