Ok cheers 2cc and paul........gives me something to investigate.......although I'm not sure that's a good thing! :)
-
done
-
still making my mind up on this one.......not too sure if it's a bit too 'fast and the furious' or whether it looks good on a C.
-
Welcome to the forums .......... you'll never leave   We'll just move this thread to 'general' as well.
-
Anyone have any idea on what to check for this problem??? Darren?

The Turn2 kit is the first one I've had on a C and I'm pretty impressed with it. I think with all the kits available you have to look at the factors which affect their performance....... Fact - an engine performs better, the more air, and the colder, it can get into the engine. You can mod the airbox to draw in more air - a nice cheap option (which can be done badly, I should add!) Some kits, like the simple K&N filter that replaces the air-box are obviously going to be sucking in all the warm air from the engine - I think this makes this style of kit the less effective. The next sort are the ones which are above but come with heat-shields - again, these will still be sucking in hot air as they are placed right next the the engine (and in the case of VR's, a very hot engine! And lastly, the other option is kits like the Turn2 one (stroeve motorsport kit as well, Andi?) that place the air filter as far away from the engine as possible to take in as much cold air as possible. God this is a long post!! So it depends on budget which i think runs from cheapest to dearest on the above options.

lol - probably people out there running wheels that wide tho!

how about this: http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sra ... 0fadb5.jpg Looks daft in my opinion. Each to their own though!

Not had chance to take any pics yet so if you look here http://www.turn2usa.com/images/a3cai/installation/t2_caivr6_finish1.jpg it is exactly how it looks on my car.

Just following on from my thread about induction kits for my VR...I have now received and fitted my Turn2 cold air induction kit (http://www.turn2usa.com) and thought I'd let you know my findings. Price: Not a very good point - the kit works out at approx £140 delivered. I only say that it's not a good point but that is compared to other options available and not a reflection on the kit itself. Customer Service: A very good point! They answer e-mails very promtply (a couple of times, within minutes!), they know what they're talking about and what the status of your order is, they have a forum for technical/product queries and they are most of all very friendly. Quality: I am of the opinion that you get what you pay for with this kit - it looks a superb piece of design and manufacturing. Fitting: First off, I am not what you'd particularly very mechanical although I am quite competent with a set of tools. I found that the fitting was very easy - took about 2 hours altogether although it may take longer if you decide to relocate the carbon cannister, whereas I decided to remove it altogether!. The hardest (read, most fiddly) was attaching the K&N cone filter once the rest of the system was in place, although this should be a doddle if you have the car up. I jacked the front of the car at one corner and found it not too bad apart from having to do everything by touch. Results: Once the car had warmed up sufficiently to put my foot down a bit, I noticed that the throttle response seemed to improve quite a bit throughout the revs and there was a very nice added growl to go with it. It's not a deafening growl but it sounds bloody sweet. So there ya go!

GHOSTBUSTERS!!! (sorry  )

Cheers John, Not quite sure how I'm going to plumb the fuel tank vent line back into the induction but I'm sure I'll find a way round it.
-
Looking at fitting my induction kit tomorrow which requires the relocation of the cc.....think i'm just going to remove it altogether (or failing that just don't bother having it feed back into the induction and just let it vent to atmosphere).

 ............sorry, made me laugh. Think it boils down to the simple fact that Corrado's cost a lot of money to maintain. If you start thinking about selling it, either a) talk to other corrado owners who will talk you right out of it (eh Jim  ) or b) put your foot down and listen to the growl and watch as people turn their heads......or both! Could always buy a little fiesta    Sorry if that isn't much use.

You lot should read this topic http://www.corrado.atx-hosting.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=153 Beat me to it
-
Can beat all of the above!!!! Mine never drops below 99.9MPG............ .....could be a fault sensor somewhere though *rubs chin*
-
more concerned about performance  Hopefully fitting my Turn2 cold air induction kit over the weekend. Looks a classy piece of kit.
-
Tony - try belldirect.co.uk They beat my next best quote by miles and are such a friendly company! Can't praise them highly enough.

Don't know if there are any Clifford/Thatcham etc approved fitters. The closest I think I'll get over here is an auto electrician, and even then there are only about 2! This is one of the reasons I was looking at just a remote central locking kit. Fraction of the price as well - although there is the possibility of an insurance decrease.
-
Also, where are the grille and grille spoiler from? Cheers
-
You have to admit tho Jim that it would turn heads and that you wouldn't say no to one :) Personally I prefer a little more discreet than that but I think it's an amazing car.
-
Ok cheers guys - will have a hunt round and see what I can get the alarm for. How easy is DIY install for a pretty much novice with electrics?

http://www.atx-hosting.co.uk/~ccgb/forum//viewtopic.php?t=59 might be worth a looksie.

we'll just put this in the 'problems' forum I think. How much are they quoting for labour?
-
I was going to move this to the off-topic forum but I think with that list of mods, it's much better off left in here!! Very nice spec.
